I just got done playing my last round of Trials of Osiris, when I find out the people are working for Guns of Destiny, a boosting service. This isn't the first time I've seen them, as (before I got AdBlock) I saw an ad promoting them as being able to get anyone to IB Rank 5, a feat that I, if not everyone can do with a group of friends (or LFG people). So I go dig around, and I find they are paying upwards of $85 just for one Flawless Trials passage. And not only that, but they also service for Hard Raids and Challenge modes, for discounted prices over multiple characters. Which brings the question: "Do I want to pay the price of Destiny plus its expansion pass at launch just to get a flawless passage?" It brings up a fine line, one that I couldn't discern for the life of me. I just wanted to provide food for thought.
TL:DR: Is it OK to pay upwards of $300 just to have 3 completed characters?

It's not unethical, bit it is incredibly stupid and a waste of money. Even if you got the disposable income.
-
No: Games are supposed to be played for fun - if you suddenly feel like you have pay to achieve in a game then then the fun factor is clearly being lost.
-
I think so. You're still a part of the team, you have to carry your weight and stay alive like you would have. Big teams pay more for the best players. It's not cheating in sports, why would it be in Destiny lol it's still possible they'll lose. Should be noted I've never hired anyone to carry me or asked to be paid to carry somebody else. Just my opinion.

screw that crap just go to ramblinnn or drlupo on twitch. you have to raffle for a chance to play but hell get you through. no need to pay
-
You're not hurting anyone, are you?

4 RisposteIt's your money. Do what you will. But I don't condone that people have Destiny services charging money for content that can be easily completed with team effort. ~TheGreatNike

1 RispondiIsn't that stuff against the ToS for destiny?
-
Orrrrrr.... Go onto twitch... Search destiny..... Find a streamer.... Follow their channel.... And enter raffles for free.... Lol (if you're not that good)
-
Charging for it is unethical, not paying for it.
-
Its just dumb. What are you paying for even? Is upwards to 300 bucks really worth some RNG trials weapons? There are gunsmith alternatives to all of them that are on par with them. Like do what you want with your money but to me paying out the ass for a silly thing like trials flawless is a giant waste

Ummmmmmm the unethical part isn't paying for a carry!!!!!! It's the db that accepts the money that is unethical.

Modificato da CheeryNibbler: 3/7/2016 8:02:21 AMThe hilarious thing is: You have proof that (guns of destiny) are using this game for personal gain. I hope they have bungies expressed written permission, or else they all about to receive permabans and have their consoles imei blacklisted from the servers 😅

Lol aint nobody around here so i'll keep scrolling down..

I'm not advertising or anything.

It actually brings up the concept of pay-to-win in gaming, now that I think about it.
