I just got done playing my last round of Trials of Osiris, when I find out the people are working for Guns of Destiny, a boosting service. This isn't the first time I've seen them, as (before I got AdBlock) I saw an ad promoting them as being able to get anyone to IB Rank 5, a feat that I, if not everyone can do with a group of friends (or LFG people). So I go dig around, and I find they are paying upwards of $85 just for one Flawless Trials passage. And not only that, but they also service for Hard Raids and Challenge modes, for discounted prices over multiple characters. Which brings the question: "Do I want to pay the price of Destiny plus its expansion pass at launch just to get a flawless passage?" It brings up a fine line, one that I couldn't discern for the life of me. I just wanted to provide food for thought.
TL:DR: Is it OK to pay upwards of $300 just to have 3 completed characters?

People can spend money on whatever they please, so long as it's not illegal.
-
I see why tbh... This coming from a average pvp player I've been 2 times y2 and I have been tempted to pay. Seeing that no one ever does help me go flawless
-
1 RispondiDon't really care. I've gone up against a few streamers doing a carry and we usually win. Go to the lighthouse on all my charecters almost every week. Love shutting down people trying to go to the lighthouse. What we do too is keep getting new cards after our flawless just to ruin others. =)
-
If they want to waste their money doing that, that's their business. Same thing as buying 50s in Halo 3.
-
Bruh anyone who pays to go flawless needs to re-evaluate their life Bc that's beyond just sad lol it's just a game who cares about the lighthouse there's plenty of other stuff to do
-
It's a choice you make. Don't blame the people who charge or pay for the choice you make

-
I would just say : Get gud
-
1 Rispondiif your stupid go for it
-
4 RisposteI've done it twice for flawless runs on all three, but I paid less than that price for all three combined. I suck at PVP, but wanted a taste of the rewards. I buy no other games and only play Destiny, I paid for content and gear I wanted. I got a kicka$$ Doctrine though. Very happy paying for it since I will never get there on my own. I don't wear the emblem, I will if I ever played for it. I respect anyone that can go flawless. Paying for PVE though is one thing, the PVE is not hard.

Ethics doesn't come into videogames in NY opinion unless it is malicious like hacking someone's account
-
Is it ethical to buy protein powders and other legal performance enhancers and play sports. All these carries are enhancers and that is all.
-
As long as you are happy with the results.... It is NOT illegal Ethical.... who knows.... for me the satisfaction of beating it would not be there
-
Since there's absolutely no impact on anyone else, it's not even a matter of ethics. It's like asking if it's ethical to buy a nice car, or go to the grocery store instead of farming. Nonsense question.
-
3 RisposteNo it isn't an anyone found to be paying for this or being paid for it should be console banned.
-
No, people who charge money should be banned for soliciting services without guarantee of success
-
You have to be dumb to pay them a cent
-
You would have to be ridiculously stupid to do this. What would be the point?its the journey/the getting there, remove that and......why?
-
You ever ask yourself why? Don't you want to earn it for yourself? Additionally if you pay people to walk you through something you're just encouraging that behavior.
-
Flawless in trials isn't worth the time anyway.
-
Basic economics, law of supply and demand. If there is demand, someone will provide the supply.
-
If people want to be stupid with there money, let them. The price has been set but they are the ones that have to agree to it.
-
If people are clear about charging for that service and the customers are able and willing, then there is definitely nothing unethical about it. It's idiotic as -blam!-, much like paying for a snuggy or waiting in line for 3 hours for a 16 dollar cupcake downtown, but unethical it is not.
-
Who cares. If someone thinks it's worth it to pay for something like that then let them spend their money. I don't play trials because I don't care too much for this games pvp but to each his own. If your team can't beat one good player and two players who paid to get carried then that's on you and your team

Modificato da Dude_Flash: 3/7/2016 6:49:39 PMIt's a service - so if people don't want to take the time to learn or get better they can pay for it. It's how the world works - I don't knock people who pay for it or charge. If you don't have the time or the patience to play enough and that's how you wanna spend your ( or your parents ) money... So be it. If you are that good and can make a buck - more power to you But I feel if you pay you are only robbing yourself of the game you already paid for and the gaming experience - my opinion

I don't think it's an ethical issue.. whatever people choose to do with their money is fine by me. A friend of mine made enough from carrying people to buy himself an Xbox One.. and for that I applaud him. I don't know why anyone would think it's worth paying for, I've gone flawless a few times.. and I rarely try to do so. Rewards aren't worth it.
