Question: Is it ethical to pay your way to flawless in Trials?
I just got done playing my last round of Trials of Osiris, when I find out the people are working for Guns of Destiny, a boosting service. This isn't the first time I've seen them, as (before I got AdBlock) I saw an ad promoting them as being able to get anyone to IB Rank 5, a feat that I, if not everyone can do with a group of friends (or LFG people). So I go dig around, and I find they are paying upwards of $85 just for one Flawless Trials passage. And not only that, but they also service for Hard Raids and Challenge modes, for discounted prices over multiple characters. Which brings the question: "Do I want to pay the price of Destiny plus its expansion pass at launch just to get a flawless passage?" It brings up a fine line, one that I couldn't discern for the life of me. I just wanted to provide food for thought.
TL:DR: Is it OK to pay upwards of $300 just to have 3 completed characters?

Honestly it's sad people pay to win. Grind it out like the rest of us. I went flawless 3 times in a row this weekend. Me and a few friends did a practice card, then we got our crap together and kicked ass 3 cards in a row only had to use mercy once and I'll say we lost 4-5 but it was a sweaty game came down to one life. I'll accept that lose

First of all it's stupid in my opinion. Buy yourself something else (a game? Save it up for a computer? A new monitor, headset?). But hey it's not my money so you do you. Second if you could just go around a bit I'm sure you can find someone willing to do it free. Third if you do it it's not really an accomplishment.

If you are incapable of going flawless after giving it hundreds and hundreds of attempts and you really wanna go to the lightshack, then yes it's ethical to pay for flawless.

As ethics and morals vary from person to person... Personally, I'd say it's unethical. You're cheating yourself and that to me is much more depressing than stomping your opponents on the way to flawless.

I have a few times. I'm too old and too slow at PvP to ever make it so I paid $120 for all 3 characters flawless. Happy to do it again for if the adept weapons ever get good again like in year 1.

If they willingly take money off children that have saved up from chores and stuff thats pretty horrible if some adult who works and wants to spend there hard earned cash this way then that's fine if somewhat a bit sad, you'd like to think an adult wouldn't be that bothered over a game

If a person wants to pay, who cares it's their money. Me personally I don't trust anyone with my account info other then people in my immediate family and I have my account on their PlayStation. I suck at Trials & couldn't give 2 shits about grim score. If another person feels as that trip to the lighthouse makes their life complete & they have the excess funds for it, more power to them.

1 Rispondiit just shows how this game really has people by the balls. you have those players that are so desperate because bungie has them deadlocked on becoming this so called "Legend' that they will do anything to accomplish it. its quite sick really, the mindset of some of these people. then you have those who will do anything for a buck, "if you can do it you should get paid for it" is their motto. but you have the leech and the mooch.

The whole point of this game is fun. Getting to the lighthouse my first time was epic. Almost as epic as beating skolas for the first time. You name it, I've done it, and if was great. You have to be an idiot to pay someone to get you there, all for an emblem. The rewards are trash, and does not reward the effort. I'm not the best player in destiny, or the most skilled, but I practiced with a team over and over until we made it. Where the [b]f[/b]uck is the effort anymore? Everybody cheesing shit and not experiencing the game for what it is. If your on ps4 and haven't made it to the lighthouse, add me. I've got a bunch of friends that can help for free. -blam!- paying for it. Let's earn it.

I very much doubt you would enjoy being told how to spend money you worked to earn. If that's what people want to do then so be it.

It's a video game so it doesn't really cross any lines in my book. It is however very strange that someone would pay money to forgo the experience of improving in the game and be happy achieving something that is empty.

It's like buying a movie then charging people to watch it. If I was Bungie I would permanently ban them from the game.
