Why do you complain about shotguns being "OP" in Rainbow Six?

This is R6S people, shotguns are always op in every game, that's the point of a shotgun. R6S is supposed to be brutally strategic, they are bound to make shotguns even more brutal and op, let alone make them less OP.

9 RisposteIf you go into shotgun/smg range with say an AR that is entirely your fault. I hate shotguns in just about every game but I don't whine about it because i know how to counter them.

The only shotgun that is slightly over powered is Frost's shotgun. You can literally shoot someone from across the map with that gun and it will down them in one shot.

Meh I don't too often. It is a bit annoying though seeing as it's all CQB and you don't need to have the best aim with shotguns... You can easily eliminate a good chunk of the team with one if you are an okay player. If you are above average then you can wipe a team with almost no problem. I don't mind them too much, but I certainly will have more respect for someone who kills me with a rifle opposed to a shotgun.

19 RisposteBecause they kill u in one shot. That like doesn't happen in real life, the pellets just kind of sting you and maybe stagger u backwards if the shot is close enough...

I don't understand why I have to shoot Ash (1 Armor) twice when I'm using Smoke or Mute, but I've been OHK by Rook when I was Thatcher (2 Armor). I got shot in the calf and died faster than if I had been shot in the head. In the video I could count the pellets from the buckshot and see where they hit. Two of the nine pellets hit me in the calf. It made it worse in that same clip when I shot Castle in the head, saw blood squirt out of his head, heard him scream and he took off running downstairs. I got shot chasing the dude I just shot in the head.
