Well... I have over 1200 hours in destiny. Can pretty much do most things blind folded. (Hay might try that).
Beta player. Started raiding late though and didn't bother with multiple characters until the last few weeks.
So that's my credentials.
On Destiny, do I still play? Almost everyday. I meet new people, I have a bigger friends list for it. Although it evolves, some friends are gone but I have new ones..
Now do I do the same stuff day in day out? Yes pretty much... sometimes I get bored but there is always something to do, may have done it 40 times before but If I want to do it I will, If I don't I won't.
But here is the thing as a game it is stunning, never played a game that looked as good as this. Nothing comes close to the game mechanics they are probably best out there.
Content wise. pve is huge.. but for a day one it is a bit tired and I really miss the old raids (VOG still awesome). But I am sure Bungie are rustling something up it will come and when it does it will be great. In the meantime I will help others which I enjoy... and it is good meeting new guardians.
Helping others is what keeps me going. Nothing better than hearing someone beat oryx for the first time.
Pvp I like it. I am not the most avid pvp player. I am possibly a fraction over average. There are issues but all in all I think it is reasonably balanced. With a few exceptions.
I would like a bit more info or at least some hints on the future. But I know they will come.
The Divison does look good. Not keen on the style of play not sure Ubisoft will pull it off. I don't see the depth of play that Destiny has to offer even now or in the future.
It would take a monumental blunder on Bungies part like no continuation of characters into destiny 2 (I have became rather attached to my characters) for me to move on or something very exceptional to be released.
I for on will stick at it as I can't see anything on the horizon that will pull me away.
But time will tell and if I had a pennies worth advice for bungie is be careful on what advice they take from the forums as the less vocal community are the heart of the game.
Looking forward to the future...
Hippo
Ps let's get some likes on this for those that don't listening to the doom and gloom of the vocal minority.
The video is purely for nostalgia!!! Was great though....

I still play destiny, mainly for pvp these days, but for me it's kinda always been that way. Was playing CoD for years before Destiny. Picked up destiny for pvp and ended up loving that, and everything else in the game. Picked up Blops 3. It's okay. I dabble, but always end up back on Destiny. I picked up fallout 4. Waste of money for me. I just hate the game. Back to Destiny. Picked up other games and always come back to Destiny. Then I got Diablo 3 reaper of souls. Let me tell you, that shit is fun af. I have over 1200 hours in Destiny, and D3RoS is the first game that I've spent significant time away from Destiny for. But. There's nothing to satisfy my fps pvp craving. Still come back to Destiny. Whatever the haters say, there's not nothing like Destiny out there. It would take a massive blunder of epic proportions to kill the Destiny franchise.

2 RisposteAfter awhile, "good gunplay mechanics" don't cut it anymore. We are now halfway into Y2, and all we have is TTK. All the stuff that made Y1 cool is now gone. It's JUST TTK. We don't even know what / when the new stuff is. By the time anything happens, we will be 8+ months into Y2. It will be almost a year from now until Destiny 2 comes out. You will get one small add-on that people will get bored of in 2 months, and that small add-on has to last until next year. In the meantime, Bungie does not care about fixing their game, being transparent with their players. A combination of both of these things has led to a massive hemorrhaging of players. Now Destiny's first rival game comes out. Ubisoft can smell blood in the water and they are gonna learn from Destiny's failures and take a sizable bite out of the remaining playerbase. If you like it, that's cool. But Bungie has burned bridges with a lot of players. I will absolutely not be playing Destiny for a very long time (if ever) and there are a lot of others just like me.

If the studio hadn't imploded at the core and most of the talents who made Bungie great hadn't left (or got fired), this game would probably be at that level of greatness for most of its other features.

Modificato da RagingPheonix00: 3/5/2016 10:50:30 PMcongrats, you admit to liking the salty blockage Bungie has forced fed ya. please don't go to other games, they don't need that corruption. 1 PVE : content out side of TTK has no viable replayability. 2 PVP broken lagfest, worse than any Call of Duty.

It's not availible in my country

I lost all my beta-y1 players :/ so it's dry for me

Yeah, helping others get some cool stuff is fun. I helped a guardian get his first exotic sword yesterday, it was a "I GOT A GJALLAHORN" moment for him, good to hear.

2 RisposteI'm surprised how similar that is to me. Not sure what keeps me playing day in day out but sure enough theirs one part in the day while playing destiny that makes me smile.
