But you cannot deny they care about their community.
https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/spartans-never-walk-alone
A community member lost his daughters in a house fire. 343i created an animated emblem available to everyone in the new update, called True Light (for Trinity and Lena, the daughters) which features their initials written in stars.
Also, in the new map Torque, in the sky you will be able to see Trinity and Lena, also spelled out in stars.
I don't even like Halo, only played through reach and 4, but it's heart warming to see 343i caring so much about the community members and honoring the memory of a single mans daughters.

2 RisposteId rather they make better games.

Post stuff here, and tune in for Halo's Ultimate News Channel! https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/193890996/0/0

1 RispondiYet no respects given to the fallen soldiers fighting for US freedom...
-
But they refuse to make a classic playlist. This would have saved halo 4 But 343 is dumb.
-
3 RisposteWow i came in here thinking this was gonna be about a bmw.... 343i lol
-
67 RisposteWell they didn't write my name in the stars so they still suck IMO
-
If you can't deny 343 support their community then neither can you with Bungievision, seeing as they've done ten times the work, what with the Nepal relief work and giving a unique weapon that no one will ever have to a cancer patient.
-
2 RisposteYes. I'm using this emblem for a long while.

Modificato da GHOST 9o5: 2/27/2016 1:15:22 AMSay what I will? It's annoying as -blam!- when I lag. Instant death sentence. Annoying as shit and I wish I atleast had the chance to run away instead of teleporting in a single line. *cough Ahem, yes. It was very sweet, what they did. :)
-
Modificato da dova spook: 2/25/2016 4:29:15 PMThey're classy bastards ;')
-
It was sweet of them, for sure.
-
Warms my heart to see stuff like this.
-
Modificato da wojo55: 2/27/2016 1:19:12 AMGotta agree that really did warm the heart. If I was the dad and looked up and saw there names in the game I'd probably breakdown and cry. Almost tearing thinking about it. Some of you kids are so insensitive. Wait till you all are old enough to have them
-
3 Risposte
But you cannot deny they care about their community.
Yes I can This is a shameless publicity stunt designed to improve their reputation. All private companies do it.
-
8 RisposteWho the -blam!- loses their damn children and probably everything they own in a house fire post it to a gaming forum? That's pathetic. We get it you want free stuff in a game, you didn't need to burn your damn house...
for reals tho that sucks
-
They're good people. It's terrible what happened, but I'm glad they're getting this support.
-
It's just a PR stunt. How could anyone claim 343 gives any sort of a shit after that severe lack of content on launch? Or the blatant money grab that is the REQ system. I remember when thought and care went into Halo's development and 343 lacks both. They're just a factory created to produce shitty generic ripoff titles for money, and nothing else.
-
Reminds me of that thing Bungie did for BB in the Reach campaign. Halo as a series has a history of compassion.
-
1 RispondiReminds me of the claptrap eulogy in a way. I am always more than happy to throw money at companies who show their support and care like this
-
1 RispondiI hope when I die my family contacts 343 or whoever is gonna be making halo 89 and gets my name implemented into the game... Or do the borderlands thing and actually make a character in memory of me that gives some kinda ultra rare bad ass armor or something
-
2 RisposteThat almost makes up for their money-hungry requisition system. •-•
-
1 RispondiAs well we have included a special feature in our new Arena map, Torque. As players look up and scan the stars above, the names Trinity and Lena will be visible in the night sky. These are but small gestures meant to honor Adam's daughters, ensuring that their memories are always close at hand within the universe he loves. That's actually really cool.
-
3 RisposteAwesome gesture. It would have been awesome to donate 100% of req pack sales revenue for a span of time to the family so the community could show even more support.
-
6 RisposteModificato da Kone19ps: 2/26/2016 5:03:15 PMThe game was marketed on a lie. No showdown at all. So they are still kinda pulling themselves out of that for me. After destiny I have no tolerance for marketing lies and gimmicks. Though it's nice they did this so do many other developers destiny included did a similar thing.
-
8 RisposteI still find it hilarious that when Bungie did their goodwill thing for Destiny, the community was pissed because they couldn't get the Fate of All Fools.
-
1 RispondiThey're good people. More than most companies would do.
