There needs to be a discussion. Buff arcbolts, dont buff arcbolts, nerf firebolt, dont nerf firebolt.......
I have read more of these types of threads than anything recently. Meanwhile the most popular subclass among the top players does not use, nor is it affected by either of these grenades.
Currently the nightstalker is immune to all grenade damage when shadestepping within a roughly 1 full second timeframe. How is this balanced? Whether you agree or disagree on the strength or necessity of a firebolt nerf or not, any reasonable person should be able to agree that regardless of whether the firebolt gets nerfed, something that renders any user to be completely invulnerable to the grenade and any other grenade, needs to be addressed.

The fact that you can get a flameshield for 15 secs for just touching a guy who is 5 meters away from you needs to be addressed. Oh and tof+vf

1 RispondiTbh, I really don't see shade step being game breaking in crucible. I've rarely seen it this iron banner. And if you think my opinion is invalid because I'm a Nightstalker, I use keen scout in PVP instead of shade step.

At most they just need to make the cool down longer between uses. Its something unique in the game that needs to stay.

Nightstalkers are not immune. If we could get hit by a firebolt and shadestep to avoid the DoT, yes that would be OP. Evading the initial hit is not as easy as it may look, easy enough if you see the grenade coming but that isn't always the case.

Also many streamers/youtubers say shadestep is working fine because its an evade, and its doing just that. EDIT: Also shadestep only dodges tracking nades, incindiary, flash, pulse, lightning, storm, vortex/solar, smoke, stickies, they are all still effective. Regardless if shadestep gets nerfed firebolt and warcock scorch melee definetily needs a nerf.

Why is it unfair to have a subclass with a distinguishable perk? With your reasoning we should get rid of flame shield for warlocks as well

Great, and a super that makes orbs and cancels other supers (hunters support class) hunters needed a subclass that made sense to use sometimes, golden gun and arc blade is a joke right now an has been for awhile. Warlocks have ionic blink (an evade that all the warlocks like to try and hide in these conversations) a sniper melee, and a perk that can double its time. Personally firebolts need a nerf around the same thing as arcbolt (since it acts the same just ones solar ones arc) and voidwalkers need a buff to keep up again. Titans have the twilight garrison. Amazing armor piece with air evade (that's the 3rd evade all 3 classes have an evade lets get over that now. Sun breaker needed a nerf, but it didn't need [b]that[/b] much of a nerf. Personally the striker is what always upset me as a player only because I find them the most nooby. Sorry if you're salty about that but come on, you can max your armor and recovery, nothing on agility but still skate around more fast than anything in the game. How is that fair? I believe in equality, I get everything has advantages an disadvantages and to adapt to a play style but -blam! At least make the [b]neutral[/b] game, [i]neutral[/i]

He has got to be the best MLG shade stepper out there- because he never burned from any of them. Instead of call nerf, this guy knew his subclass and situational awareness so well he watched for the little balls or burning sunshine just so he could "b +b". Kudos to that guy. I was super impressed. (And salty because he was a very decent sniper too. Shade step my Firebolt, quick scope me faster than I could Last Word him to death.)
