• <500 (still human)
The Destiny players who have the most hope. At this stage, player might still have their human qualities in normal order, such as eating, drinking, needing variety in their games. Their skin may still have melanin and their controllers are easily disengaged from their hands. These players are an open book, with potential to go anywhere (except outside.) These players may have completed a raid or two on normal, heavily guided by more experienced players, and found the raids challenging and novel, but have probably never even seen a Vex Mythoclast. This player has probably tried a card or two on Trials of Osiris, but has poor or out-of-date knowledge regarding the ever-changing PvP meta. They can usually be found on the forums, looking for raid groups and being friendly but ignorant.
• 500+ (Fledgeling Desticle)
Fledgeling Desticles still retain most of their human traits, but occasionally desire to continue their gaming sessions past reasonable times. They exhibit the tendency to spend long nights on the few raids that they attempt, ultimately losing hours of sleep and getting to work/school late in the morning after. Fledgeling Desticles may show a slight unwillingness to set down their controller to use the bathroom, eat, etc, during their raids, and have been known to hold in a piss for a whole boss fight. They may know the sting of getting the shit end of the RNG stick once or twice, but they can get over it. These players see no reason to get every exotic armor or weapon, and scorn finding new exotics that go to classes aside from their main. Often seen bitching endlessly on the #Feedback forums as if anyone (Bungie) cared about their opinions.
• 1000+ (Desticle Adept)
These players may have very well been here since the beginning, but have wavered from the world of Destiny at some point, maybe due to lack of content or due to having completed all of the raids on normal mode at least, and having most of the raid gear and exotics that they were looking for. These players have either taken a hiatus or have possibly been lured away by newer time-sinks such as Fallout 4. Desticle Adepts tend to have had a period when they were further down the rabbit hole, often recalling long sleepless nights on Crota's End and VoG hardmode, helping scrubs learn the ropes and hoping for the Crux to drop or a Mythoclast to be won. These players have seen mythoclasts drop back in the days of vanilla, and know the way that screams of excitement from others can push you to do a raid over and over, hoping that one day you will have the happiness of that kid who just got a lucky drop.
• 1500+ (Ascendant Desticle Adept)
These players are much like the Desticle Adepts, but have shown an unwavering loyalty to the Light, squeezing this game out of every drop of content it has. Their exotic collections are far more complete than others, and they have completed every raid on hardmode, and have possibly even played King's Fall challenge modes. Their skin has become pale and their faces have sunken, with dark under-eye bags framing their bloodshot eyes. Their clammy hands grip their controller tightly as they claim victory in the Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner through expertly honed builds and impeccable teamwork. These players put Destiny first above all other games, but may still acknowledge the worth of other games.
• 2000+ (Arch Proven Desticle)
This variety of desticle has gone above and beyond, proving themselves worthy of the traveller's gifts. These players play reliably, have a tight-knit raid and Trials group, and have completed every raid activity. These players have almost undoubtedly racked up multiple 9-0 Trials cards, a feat many consider impossible. Their exotic collections are brimming, with only 2 or 3 that still elude them. These players tend to have two or three characters, but main only the one that is their favorite. Their bodies have survived a violent metamorphosis, their asses conforming to the shape of their seat, their faces sunken further and at least one of their hands has been affixed to their controller by the bone. These desticles no longer have notions of such petty human needs as sleep, and so they find that the time is better spent playing Destiny.
• 3000+ (Desticle Prime Loremaster)
The Desticle Prime Loremaster is no longer of human persuasion. Cracks have formed in the player's skin, revealing the Light coursing through their bodies. Food and water have not been consumed in months, aside from Destiny TTK Red Bull. This player has every exotic, has obtained every single raid weapon multiple times, and tenderly cultivates three characters, all of different classes, most of which have incredibly fine-tuned creative and overpowered builds that are so rare that they are never going to be patched. This player has charts hung up around their TV, detailing the hidden traits of many of the best pieces of gear. This player is also known for their immense and deep knowledge of the game's lore, having memorized most of the grimoire, and frequently bitches people out on the forums for getting shit wrong. They also frequently have their own theories about the lore, (such as the Traveler actually being evil,) which they may debate on the forums. Desticle Prime Loremasters frequently show distain for the game, despite having played it nearly nonstop for over a year, a feat of contradictory logic that a healthy human individual certainly wouldn't be able to achieve.
• 4000+ (Neoform Giga-Desticle)
The Neoform Giga-Desticle has since shed their mortal form and is now a being of pure Light, a radiant sun and a warning to all minions of the darkness that their time has come. This player has completed all raids, hundreds of times on normal and hard, done every challenge mode, frequently completes self-imposed challenges on raids, owns every exotic, deletes multiple characters and creates new ones so that they can get more rewards per week, stewards a trio of 320 light guardians, and has shepherded countless kinderguardians through the raids. These players have stopped using the bathroom, and prefer to play with a hole cut into their seat with a bucket set within. After all, you dont want to be that guy in a raid. A paragon of hope and dedication, The Neoform Giga-Desticle has eschewed the responsibilities of real life and has embraced the light of the Traveler.

About 182 hours only. I felt really gypped in Year One and decided to find new ventures for quite some time. I come back into Year 2, and I can NOT get to where people are at (320 light level) because all of my friends who played Destiny with me decided to abandon ship as well, but this time, they weren't a dumbass like I was and didn't purchase TTK. I gave Destiny a second chance, and it made me land flat on my face again. I'm not going to fall for it again on Destiny 2 though. I've been fooled one too many times already and I will own up to the fact that I pulled a dumbass move and bought TTK after getting extremely jaded in Year One Destiny. I don't really plan on seeing that 182 hours hit 200 at all. The game rubbed a lot of salt in an open wound.
