They said that Damage over time (DoT) should only keep your shield down and not touch your health. That goes for thorn and firebolts only though.
Edit:Btw these changes wouldn't affect pve in any way.
Edit 2: I never said my opinion so don't hate me. This is an idea two very respected players had and Im only asking your thoughts on this. Second thing is that when I say shields I mean the big bar that's before your health, not over shields (force barrier or flame shield).

Or they could reduce the time. With that change firebolts would be arc bolts. Which I'm not completely opposed to. But that will increase fusion grenade usage, which I am.

I think like in true support class fashion some class builds should have a perk that removes dot from teams. Sounds like some sweet team work where we actually get a little counter play between classes instead of them all feeling the same.

If all it does is suppress shields, then it's not damage over time at all. The whole point is that they lose health slowly over time. There could be another type that prevents shields from recharging for a time, but that'd be a totally different thing

I think a better idea would be to make it so burn can lower your health to nearly 0, but an actual bullet or punch or whatever had to deal the final blow

1 RispondiNo.. I have played Crucible and have gone up vs Thorn and firebolt nades often. They are not OP. Ppl need to stop taking this VIDEO GAME so god damn seriously. If you get that upset over a loss then just do something else or deal with it. You can't win every match. You can and will lose just like everyone else. The level of crying some ppl do about weapons is unreal. Maybe just maybe we should look at EVERYTHING ELSE first.

People need to start thinking tactically rather than just running in like idiots. A soldier does not just charge into a hallway like an idiot. He checks corners and moves slowly and is aways thinking about his next move/ an escape route.

This was only one of their ideas. Others were that firebolt grenades for example, would do less damage at first if touch of flame was active, and that DoT would be the same. Another that I personally liked was that no damage was dealt by the DoT, instead you would be unable to regen health.

18 RisposteAt what point do people stop chasing this so called perfect balance in this game? Each character has to utilize his or her abilities to beat another controller operated character... Please somebody explain to me why people want so much balance? Like this mysterious area of perfection where everybody is happy with everything..within PVP. First people complain about guns...now it's grenades...then jumps..armor..freaking shaders. I just don't get it.
