They said that Damage over time (DoT) should only keep your shield down and not touch your health. That goes for thorn and firebolts only though.
Edit:Btw these changes wouldn't affect pve in any way.
Edit 2: I never said my opinion so don't hate me. This is an idea two very respected players had and Im only asking your thoughts on this. Second thing is that when I say shields I mean the big bar that's before your health, not over shields (force barrier or flame shield).

3 RisposteJus leave everything how it is in regards to DoT. Thorn was nerfed, firebolts with the extra burn been here since day 1. Thorn is no longer the master in all pvp, while it is still a good gun its just that.... a [b][i]good[/i][/b] gun. Then the warlock firebolts and incendiary grenades (im guessing more the firebolts)..... the sunsinger class' super is all about grenades, it doesn't have a one hit kill super, it doesn't have a protective hideout for yourself and teammates to dance in whilst giving everyone a weapon damage boost or extra armor. To use what I call (but still use when im on warlock) "cheap grenades", the subclass loses the ability to have 2 grenades and you lose a long time taken from the length radiance will be active, meaning yes you get an awesome grenade for pvp but you won't be flinging them everywhere when u have radiance because of less super length and can only stack 1 nade at a time. It seems in Destiny's pvp, whenever something is nerfed is because its apparently op. But it started somewhere. Think.. before firebolts, it was the stormcaller subclass, im sure many people who played lock got scared so moved to sunsinger so that the stormcaller wasnt everywhere and thus being targeted. Around the stormcaller nerf shouts era we were getting nerf mida posts.... this was practically the same reason, a lot of people using it, alot of people there by died to it, the pvpers with god complexes called for a nerf. Its the same gun from year 1. It was only because more people used thorn/tlw in yr1 the vocal minority had no problems with mida. But before the last pvp patch that targeted pulse rifles and gave us yr2 mida for trials and ib there was no anger towards mida in normal pvp. Before that it was hammers, thorn, bladedancers, valus taarac lol, when something is nerfed in this game, thr next so called op thing is targeted, but that next thing will only be op because everything else has been nerfed below it. Pretty soon pvp will only allow the khostov and we will have no subclass perks, jus a generic hop jump. Much like this post if u read it all, when will it end ;)

No. Because then what's the point of using fire bolt grenades with touch of flame? You pretty much already take their shield down with the fire bolt alone. And Thorn while its admittedly leaning on the OP side that would kind of make that perk useless. You would only burn for like a second because two shots from the Thorn, if ones a headshot will bring you're shield to breaking point. And why is it only on FB Grenades and Thorn? That just makes it sound unfair just because it's OP. That would make Sunsingers significantly weaker in PvP and make Thorn as useless as it was in vanilla Destiny, which may be good news for some, but it just doesn't feel right imo. I feel like Sunsingers will be that underdog subclass that no one will use and if/when Thorn may come back in Year 3. It will be a worthless exotic.

It's funny because there was zero problem with Sunsingers before the Sunbreaker nerf. People just want crap to cry nerf over. It doesn't have anything to do with nerfing actually being necessary.

Sounds good!! Fair solution! Thorn would still suck though, the combination of range and stability is just too much... But it's a start
