so there is a conundrum with people swapping to ice breaker and invective because of the recent special ammo change. Truth is an issue on heavy rounds as well. I propose an idea to help solve that.
What if, when you buy your passage that Brother Vance then stops you in your tracks and informs you that Exotics are a very powerful agent and as Osiris' now rules that you pick one exotic from your inventory and you may only equip that until you have to buy a new one.

Final thought: Rummaging through to find the non cancer ridden members of the community that don't pose any way to help. My final thought is that simply making it if you switch special weapons at any time regardless if you're alive or dead, you lose all your ammo.

Or you could introduce loadout locking when entering a game mode like Trials. It would do the same thing and be slightly easier to code.

1 RispondiFor trials I would: 1. Get rid of heavy round. 2. Make entrance light level be tied to all gear, ie. You can't play if you have equipment that is under the recommended light level of 290. 3. Have special spawn faster, but remove special after every round so every one starts fresh and there's no advantage given to one side.

1 RispondiI wouldn't mind if time to time during a trials match there's a challenge.... Lets say Rd 1 guardians let's see how good you are I've locked your loadouts for this match....can you adapt? Rd 2: Gaurdians I'll give 10000 glimmer to the first team to wipe each other out in the first minute. Idk it be fun time to time if you get what I'm saying.

8 RisposteOr... just give us ammo back :). It makes more sense to nerf ammo in 6v6 then in 3v3. The ammo nerf just makes firebolts stronger... essentially a team can rush you with no fear if they tag 1 or 2 of you. The ammo nerf is a joke. Shoulder charging titans just sprint at you from the beginning and people use warlock ls 3x as often.

If i see all snipers i'll challenge snipe. And my special weapon usually determines which exotic primary i am using. If i snipe, i'll use tlw. If i shotgun, i'll put on a mida or an NLB. Youre on the right track, but not perfect.. Maybe your weapons get locked right before each match starts?

An easier solution would be to eliminate passing special ammo from one weapon to another.

2 RisposteDon't know that locking your loadout for the whole passage is necessary.. but I think locking your loadout at the start of the match would be sufficient. Once the first round starts in a match, that is your loadout for the whole match... no swapping..

Locking weapons and loosing special ammo by switching weapons when ur dead would take the option of switching your tactics mid game which almost all of us do. This will cause matches that loose their flair and end up being one sided affair. I believe a simple solution would be to block all Y1 weapons in Trials and no special ammo regardless whether you're using sidearm or not and increase the ammo regen timer for invective just for 3v3.

You mean like pre selecting a load out? Would be interesting but i doubt anyone would want that since it's a "competitive" playlist people like to use and abuse tactics that work regardless of how cheap they are or whatever else people want to call them

1 RispondiSimply lock loadouts once you land. This will lead to some interesting meta gaming as teams try to adjust loadouts during fly in to get a competitive edge. Also, link damage to the weapon's light level instead of character light level, this should get rid of those pesky icebreakers.

3 RisposteFor those defending a "strategy": swapping Invective or Icebreaker for ammo isn't a strategy. It's a cop out. Play the game like it was meant to be, a good old fashioned gun fight, protecting each other and killing the other team. It's really not that hard.

people forget that using invective or icebreaker you don't start with ammo, you still have to wait the same length of time as everyone else does for the crate to spawn..

I feel like locking your loadout would take away from the game. Nobody wants to go into a game, get their ass kicked for 2 rounds and not be able to switch weapons and strategy just because your loadout is locked. I switch a lot. I start with a sniper but if i get rushed and destoryed for a round or 2, I switch to a shotgun to counter. And visa versa.
