Wow people are so good at spreading stupid things! I'll personally report every comment on here.

I remember that fateful day. My fireteam entered the room holding the Infinity Throne, where Xylar resides. The three headed dragon beast rose from his slumber to face us. We had no idea what we were about to encounter, but we knew any mistake meant certain death. As he rose to shoot his arc, void and solar flames, down on us we dodged, weaved, and dived to cover. Our gjallarhorns were readied, but it was for naught. His impenetrable time shield vaporized our ammunition out of existence. There was nothing we could do, and sat there trying to discover a way to slay the beast as our cover melted in front of us. Then I watched, one by one as Xylar erased my No Land Beyond wielding friends out of existence. I was the only one left. I was doomed. Then an immense flash of light rose in front of me to block Xylar's attack. The legends were true. SmoggyPluto had arrived. He handed me his relic shield, one made from the traveler itself. And he told me "take this". "Where are you going?" I asked. "Xylar's time is up." In that moment SmoggpPluto stepped from the safety of our shield and unleashed his dual wielding Gjallarhorns, heavily damaging Xylar, but he still stood. "No, no, no. It won't be enough. There has to be a way!" In that instant, several voices echoed through a time ripple. "We agreed to never do this, its too much power for one individual!" the voice cried out. "There's no other way. It must be done. And he is not just any individual. He is the one of the prophecy. The legends are true", another said. "Then it must be done" the final voice said. Through the portal another Guardian's face appeared, and his arm reached out and he said "Take this, fulfill your destiny, Smoggy. Smoggy reached out, as his body began disintegrating from Xylar's attack, and retrieved the almighty launcher, Eon's Fury. It couldn't be real, I thought. A tri-burn double barrel Gjallarhorn? Before I could say anything to Smoggy, he shoved me into a portal that threw me out of the Infinity Throne's room. But as the portal closed, a devastatingly blinding light of all colors flashed. He knew that no one could survive Eon Fury's power, not Xylar, and not even Smoggy himself. But he chose to save me. He saved us all. Please don't let this tale be forgotten.

It's like a Y1 myth. Something fun for all of us who've been playing since day 1 to get together and laugh about, like an inside joke. If it's not harming you, why try to spoil the fun? [spoiler]I still haven't killed Xylar because SmoggyPluto won't join my fireteam.[/spoiler]

I think it's pretty funny..[spoiler]biased opinion because I made him in the first place lol[/spoiler] But anyways. My intentions of Xylar was not for it to be a troll or to blow up the forums. There was a post asking what was my funniest experience while playing destiny, so I gave him my response. That was my funny experience. I never intended the thing to absolutely flood the forums at the time. The Xylar joke kinda just grew from the forum itself, not by me. :)

I thought he was talking about Insertnamehere The Unwed, the wizard you kill for thorn. But I don't think that's who he is talking about.

No such thing as xylar, its a made up BS boss that originated as part of a troll post to making fun of a kid who said he knew and did the raid before but in fact never did.
