Icebreaker Trials Ammo Bug/Exploit
Just so you are aware Bungie, Icebreaker will regen ammo within the first few seconds of Trials.
Which is pretty poor balance considering recent changes. But that's OK.
[Edited for clarity as people are getting caught up on the wrong problem here. It's not that IB needs to be removed or nerfed, it's that the weapon swap during the round results with no penalty to special ammo is an issue.]
[u][b]What's not OK, is that if you let your Icebreaker regen to 6 ammo (max) then switch during the end of game screen (Round won/Round Lost) your normal special weapon - a sniper as I tested it, will start the next round on 18 ammo, or whatever the max is according to your gear.[/b]

Also the change since you implemented your new system to combat cheating/lag issues, with damage allocation. It's definitely not working. If anything it's worse. I had constant games with enemy players running through tripmine grenades, taking non fatal damage, including people taking direct hits, without full armour - I checked specifically. Melee hit registration is as terrible as ever as well, even when the system is registering the person there and you're getting the lunge effect, which normally doesn't happen when lag is a real issue.

There's a way to fix this. Every time you change weapons ( if that's the problem ), you should not have ammo for that weapon. It would work. And about the damage problem: It's really strange that a 170 damage weapon can kill a 320 light character... The light level should matter a lot in this case.

It's not an exploit. It's just a cheap way to get ammo / start with snipe anmo. I don't really care people do it anyway I just own them with No Land Beyond

I think that the weapon is not the problem itself, the problem comes from the fact that a 170 light weapon is capable of damage its opponents like any 280+ light weapon, I mean, take Trials as an example, the last Trials when I was playing almost every opposite team has at least 1 IB user. I think that when the playlist like Trials has level advantage enabled then a headshot from IB must not kill a player, just injury him, because according with light level difference a 170 light weapon must not be capable to kill a player with a higher light defence.

Stop crying. I'm quite sure the people who made the ice breaker know it regents ammo. Also sidearms spawn with ammo. Big deal get over it.

I carry ice breaker to do to them what they are trying to do to me, if no ice breaker then it's a fair match and I'll only use a side arm cus it makes them more relevant in the game. After I pick up ammo only then do I switch to my chaperone, I even lost matches cus my team couldn't pick up special. It's called sportsmanship!

7 RisposteI don't think you can mess with the regen of icebreakers ammo, and switching while dying has always been a thing, so that should stay too. The best solution I can think of is to have the ammo generated from icebreaker directly switch, so if someone generates 3 shots with icebreaker and then switches they would get three shots of shotgun or sniper ammo. Ps. There are also sidearms that provide ammo, so icebreaker is not the only one.

I could see them somehow disabling the switch of special during a match and then losing it but DO NOT NERF OR CHANGE THE ICEBREAKER its one of the only true exotic guns out there

1 RispondiThe lag has really been bad in doubles. I think this is a bigger issue than the special ammo carry over but I see your point. Of course what I really don't see as being logical is saying "we don't want people starting games with special ammo" then allowing them to carry over special ammo in between elimination matches where each match is essentially a NEW Game. If you don't want people starting out games with special ammo, then each match in an elimination game should have the special ammo slot zeroed out as well (just like heavy ammo). Otherwise you appear to be contradicting your purposes.

Ice breaker has a special perk that allows it to regen amo. It is the same as having side arms spawn with amo it is not a exploit it was meant to happen it is not cheap matter of fact you drop light, you are at a disadvantage.

2 RisposteNewsflash: anyone with special ammo retains if for the next round, whether it is from Icebreaker, invective, or a special ammo chest. Seriously. I don't get all the hate on this gun. By the time special spawns, they have a whole 3 shots they can use, whereas anyone with standard snipers that open a chest get double. As for "camping special", if they nail you for that without you finding a counter for more than one round, that one is on you, mate. Shouldn't be too hard to flank someone that is hard scoped. Also: Sidearms SPAWN with ammo. Just FYI.

4 RisposteIt´s an exploit, just like titan skating, shadestep glitching or NLB´s useless 6hour bolt-lock reload time skipping. Yes I do agree that they should not be able to change the weapon then to a pretentious, no skill needed 1000-YSt., but then again what-the--blam!- you going to do. This game has not progressed anywhere in months. Everyone with the same boring setup in Trials etc... As long as you are using your TLW and 1000-Yard, while rolling Sunsinger, you are nothing but a pretentious little c*nt... who whines on these forums like the rest of us. If you think you are not a whining c*nt, help people who are below 0,6 k/d to get to the lighthouse. Use something else than the META.

It's quite easy to counter, just play them at their own game and spawn with a sidearm. Pretty much every team we faced yesterday used icebreaker and we still went flawless
