How would you nerf thorn?
Less DOT? Less impact? What needs nerfed?
Edit: over half of you see the word nerf and go into a fiery pit of rage then spit your fire at the nerf posts.

Take away the burn in pvp and make it be like the keen scout perk on the hunter class where it shows you where they are when you shoot them

Come on guys. Its already been nerfed very hard. From 7 DoT to 3 DoT. And the DoT is thorn unique perk, so you cant remove it otherwise it will lose its status as an exotic. The gun is fine how it is now. No nerf needed

I wouldn't.

Put a Cooldown on the DoT ability. If you are shooting a full mag in a firefight continuously only the first shot should be able to poison the target. If you are using range and taking accurate shots over time it should poison.

I'd start by leaving it alone and have bungie not waste time on this old weapon.

Less DOT and DOT is only applied on headshots. It does much more damage oer shot than another handcannon of the same archetype. Exotics are supposed to be different, not massively better.

Less DOT either for damage or duration. DOT keeps shields down for regen and positioning. I'd like for thorn be able to kill in the same amount of shots as a HC of the same archetype

I would reduce its range so as not to be higher than Hawkmoon's, reduce magazine size to 7(debatable), and DoT only procs on precision hits in PvP. My two cents on it.

4 RisposteDude, doctrine and scouts deal with thorn pretty easily. Create some distance or close the gap. I honestly have a way harder time in crucible against doctrine or last word because my sidearm can't hang with those unless reactive reload is on.
