Seriously, should it be a report at this point?
Edit: I'm not saying we should, I'm just asking the question. And not about people using it, but about people who use it to refill other specials. I realize sidearms are an issue too.
Edit: ok so the community as a majority says it's not. What if they made a timer where you literally couldn't fire a special weapon until special ammo spawned similar to COD lethal grenades at the start of the match?
Edit: History shows that exploiting this type of thing will get Ice Breaker/Invective Nerfed. #blackhammer #gravitonforfeit #efrideetsspear #atonofstuff

Plus, dreg's promise have an exotic perk in it which allows you to always have ammo on respawn. Furthermore, sidearms in general, they have something to do with their ammo. Anyways, this is why this game gets worse more and more. People wanna nerf everything, even EXOTIC PERKS. So my dear fella, deal with it. Use whatever you want to. Dying for Icebreakers eh? Use another sniper, shotgun whatever. Stop complaining, that's all. What you should do is rush them as fast as you can, if so, they'll regenerate less ammo. But it's easier to ask for nerfs right??

If the gun has an exotic perk to regen ammo and it then regens ammo I'm not entirely sure how using it is cheating.

Can you (what the title asks)? Sure. Should you (what the first sentence in your post asks)? No. It's a part of the game, an exotic weapon with a perk. No hacking or manipulating the game in any way is being done. Now, if Bungie took out Icebreaker changed the perk, and they were hacking to get the old one back, then yes. As is, no.

What's the point with the IB? If other people use for the ammo you can use to for your advantage.

I find no issue using IB or invective. The use of switching after getting max ammo is the problem here and bungo actually knowing this and doing nothing about it except make shitty valentines e-cards on facebook.

1 RispondiI dont find snipers a problem, as long as you stay out of their lanes. Grab your Midi and Shotgun, go at them and go to work. So many snipers go into panic mode, when they are confronted by a charging player after a couple misses. Or for hunters go arc, turn invisible, flank and get busy on them.

7 RisposteHey guys, Ive obviously come a little late to this convo but could someone please explain the 'loading other specials' bit to me. Are you able to let icebreaker generate ammo then switch and the next weapon is loaded? I have to ask because every time I switch in match from say a sniper to a shotty I lose any ammo I've collected. Or assume I still do as I have made a point of not switching since the special ammo change because it happened before. I'll check it out next time I run a match. At this point I'll say that I have no problem with icebreaker at this time. Or any gun that generates ammo independantly. It was annoying during crimson doubles but not something that gave a huge advantage. Countering it is no different than countering any other sniper tactic. Infact I am leveling mine up now because I saw its effectiveness in cb and think it adds a nice twist to the tactics I have to consider.

Its dumb questions like this, combined with an utter lack of understanding what cheating actually is, that has gotten everything nerfed into the ground.

Not cheating but the amount of people doing it all of a sudden shows how reliant players have become on their 1kyd aim assists.

No it's a gun on a game that's selectable, if people need to do these things let em. I don't like it but it's there and people will always exploit.
