Icebreaker cowards!
"shit what the heck are we going to do now with the 30 second delay on special ammo, we don't know how to contest on another player, we don't know what a gunfight is... Ahh icebreaker, we're saved."
This is bullshit, I really feel sad for those who can't man up to a change, and have to go to Y1 weapons to survive in Destiny PvP, and i'm not really suprised That Bungie didn't think of this as becoming an issue.
Edit 1: Allright, so pretty much everyone got offended by this because you probobly realized u don't know what to do without sniper and have to go back to use an old sniper that gives you ammo, just so you don't feel left behind.
I have nothing against IceB, it's an incredible gun. But you all know what I mean with this post.

i carry invective so i can get full ammo for my sniper or fusion but by then enough special has dropped for the other guys to have special so ..

Played against a scrub using icebreaker for about 3 rounds, he got his shit pushed in by me for about two rounds. Then he switched to thorn.... *face palm*

1 RispondiAlright, so let me say first that I'm roughly average at PvP. My K/D is climbing, so I am improving. I also run NLB probably about 50% of the time and have been doing so for a few months. As someone who snipes and isn't a 'try-hard' as everyone seems to like to label others around here, I have to ask - why all the salt? I get it, you get killed be a sniper. We all do. It happens. However, most 'hard-scopers' I come across can hold their own in a closer range gunfight if you're able to draw them into it, so I doubt they're fearful of it occurring. I also cannot understand the rage born from people using year one weapons. They're in the game and Doubles isn't light influenced, so why can't someone dust off their old guns? Should there be tweaks made to sniping in Destiny? Sure. But I don't think the answer is crying 'NERF!' at every possible point, such as what a substantial number of community members seem to do day in and day out. I'm not someone who is just going to say 'git gud scrub,' but no one is helping their case by writing out a post like you have, OP. That is to say that it comes off as nothing more than, well, crying, while discussing no legitimate or achievable solution. Then again, that seems to be the Bungie Community narrative these days. Bungie has certainly made it's mistakes but the toxicity of this fan base does nothing to help.

Complaining about Destiny PvP doesn't make a lot of sense... it is garbage... have fun with it or don't play. If you are a competitive player and passionate about competitive multiplayer I suggest you find another game.

I haven't used ice breaker in a while, when I did in crucible it was mainly on Combined Arms huge maps, just cuz it was fun to use

The smart people on here knew that this would happen. Icebreaker gets ammo much quicker than Invective does. If you don't expect to win a fight (Why would you when everyone and their mother is using the meta weapons?) you equip it, because otherwise you probably won't get special while the other team does. They didn't fix the problem, they just made it worse.

People are going to use the best options available to them. Don't fault the community for Bungie's usual lack of testing and foresight.

I agree. This loop hole bothers me because it feels a bit like cheating. Just rush them, seems to work for me, and the victory is much sweater.

3 RisposteI was playing with a buddy who is brand new and we kept losing the close gunfights and then they would get special. After that there was no chance of touching them. Solution ... icebreaker. It ain't the users fault it's bungies for making an idiotic change.

yeah people are trash, they need to increase the time regen on PVP and after the 1st 30 secs of gameplay the rest of the game plays out as usual

I agree people need to man up and use their primarys and or sidearms the only special to not be nerfed. I use them pretty often because they're fun to use and not considered op. If I get killed by a sidearm then I don't have a problem. I'm glad that bungie nerfed having special on 3v3 now it gives those are good with primarys but mediocre with a sniper a chance at elimination
