After my science professor stated the story of Noah's Ark was true, I wondered if people had a problem with that. How do you guys feel?

2 Risposte>500+ votes for "yes" >literally no evidence of a worldwide flood exists lol
-
1 RispondiMyth is often based in fact
-
25 Risposte"Science" professor. Dipshit should be fired. Also it's scary how many people voted yes.
-
Worldwide Flood? No. Flood of a major body of water due to whatever natural reason? Wouldn't be surprised. Of course, the story about two of every animal is crap.
In 1997, William Ryan and Walter Pitman published evidence that a massive flooding of the Black Sea occurred about 5600 BC through the Bosphorus. Before that date, glacial meltwater had turned the Black and Caspian Seas into vast freshwater lakes draining into the Aegean Sea. As glaciers retreated, some of the rivers emptying into the Black Sea declined in volume and changed course to drain into the North Sea.[4] The levels of the lakes dropped through evaporation, while changes in worldwide hydrology caused overall sea level to rise. The rising Mediterranean finally spilled over a rocky sill at the Bosphorus. The event flooded 155,000 km2 (60,000 sq mi) of land and significantly expanded the Black Sea shoreline to the north and west. According to the researchers, "40 km3 (10 cu mi) of water poured through each day, two hundred times the flow of the Niagara Falls... The Bosphorus flume roared and surged at full spate for at least three hundred days."[5]
While this is nowhere near a worldwide flood, if it did happen this flood would have been big enough to seem like an act of God. It's probably the flood the story is based on.

Not to sure about Noah and the arc because it says it happen only a few thousand years ago. But there is proof of a apocalyptic flood in Egypt and other areas 10,000+ years ago.

1 RispondiYou know that thread about losing or gaining faith in humanity? Seeing the poll results for this thread just made me lose some more.
-
Modificato da Solaire: 2/10/2016 1:48:58 AMMore than likely the world has been flooded before as for the biblical flood where one family survived to repopulate the entire earth...... That's a negative capn Edit.)after looking down the thread a bit and reading the world probably would not have been entirely flooded
-
Of course not.
-
Wow. This poll saddens me.

6 RisposteIf you propose a worldwide flood, then no. Is not possible. Habilis has shown the problems with a world wide flood in several threads: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/188640443/0/0 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/188410089/0/0 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/188102023/0/0 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/190179334/0/0 Of course, a local flood possible. Habilis only shows inconsistencies of world wide flood theories. *chews manioc*

This here, is thr biblical flood.

1 RispondiThere really should be a middle ground option so all the keyboard warriors don't get a hate boner when people put yes because they agree a flood happened
-
Basically Egyptian history says the Nile Flooded and a Mesopotamian King loaded up all His livestock and fancy pets on one huge barge and rolled down the Nile like a pimp, and basically friends bragged about it for thousands of years....... Just like how your one friend caught a "50lb" fish and has a "5.0" Kd ratio in call of duty lol
-
4 RisposteI say yes , I am not a Christian however it must have happened considering civilizations all around the world have recorded this event including those empires/kingdoms who could not communicate with others
-
22 RisposteThere was a large flood roughly in that area, but not of the biblical proportions depicted in the bible.
-
Probably not exactly as it was put in the bible but a flood? Yes. Can't remember what country it was but u can Google a cool pic where they speculated it might be the arks resting place. I dunno op jeez it's too late for this shit
-
This many people voted yes? The flood is one of the most ridiculous biblical stories out there.
-
Modificato da Zappo: 2/9/2016 6:43:23 AMPeople need to keep in mind this is the flood depicted in the bible we are taking about, the one that supposedly drowned everyone and animal in the world apart from a select few

1 RispondiMy faith in humanity is lost
-
My favorite part of the bible is when God gave humanity free will and then killed them all when they didn't act how he wanted.
-
1 RispondiNo, because the Master Chief killed them all.
-
2 RisposteListen... if the question is the biblical flood, as in 5,000 years ago and covered the earth, then 59% of people on here are braindead cummonkeys.
-
1 RispondiWE ARE THE BIBLICAL FLOOD
-
1 RispondiModificato da Stickman Al: 2/8/2016 5:34:03 PMDid a flood happen? Yes. Did the biblical flood happen? Where a man and his small family saved two of each of the millions of species of animal on earth, (keeping them fed and stopping them eating each other) when the entire world flooded? Don't be ridiculous.
-
Yes, but not across the entire earth. There is much evidence to support this
