My experience seems to differ from others that have posted here.
I had an opportunity to play a little Iron Banner this morning - I was solo the entire time. Played 6 matches with randoms and my team won 5 of them. And believe me, it's not because of me or my contributions lol.
I really don't see how going against teams in Rift will be so much more of a disadvantage -as opposed to teams that may have played in Iron Banner when it was Control or Clash.
Maybe I'm just lucky.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

7 RisposteI've lost the last 25+ matches. I've backed out when we get 4k down of the past 20 matches. Rift sucks unless your with a team. Even then it's a camp fest and lag fest.
-
It's a fun game type. Matchmaking changes are good.
-
The biggest problem I have is the scoring....Rift grants far to many points for picking up, running and igniting the rift. Not sure the solution.

Havent played alot but do have 2 characters close to rank 3 right now. Every match i played solo and to me its the same as with every Banner. If you are up against a team, you probely are getting your ass kicked. But not the only factor that can decide if you win or lose. The randoms you are teamed up with make a very big difference. There are players out there, including myself who understand the objective and dont need a mic to still work together. I have wrecked teams multible times now when in a team with full random solo players. And also lost when a match was full with randoms because people dont understand how rift works. Camping inside your own spawn wont bring you victory. Also running into the enemy's spawn trying to spawn-kill them cant be done alone. You have to control the middle. Even if you know you wont be able to score, picking up the rift can prevent the enemy from scoring. Rift is a gamemode where you shouldnt be thinking of your K/D. Because if you start doing that, you most likely will lose big time. Try and remember that players who go in solo.

11 RisposteWhen you hear "Heavy Ammo on the way" and "Spark charging" at the same time.. You find out who your real teammates are LOL

Are you the same ZeRo that destroys at Sm4sh?!?!?!

How about we make trials 6v6 clash?

When I say what I'm about to say, I want to stress that I do not mean to insult anyone... But it definitely seems like playing iron banner from, say, 8 am until about 1 pm is a much better experience than any other time of day or night... On the real though...

Didn't even read, just liked for pun

I'm enjoying it I love objective games and that keep the action on one point and rift does that perfectly. The middle battle for the spark. the defending if opposition gets the spark, and attacking if your team gets the spark no matter what there is action.

Rift is my least favorite game mode in or out of IB. I primarily play solo. The only fun I've had so far is when I decided to screw the objective and kill every enemy in sight. My tips for solo players is to just go in and Clash. Don't even pay attention to the spark unless you see a steal so the other team can't collect or if your teammates are just sitting there watching the spark idle. Otherwise just kill ish. You'll indirectly be playing to the objective by clearing the board for people who are good at running the spark.

1 RispondiHonestly, I was annoyed when I heard rift was going to be IB. Even signed a petition to have it changed. But now that I'm playing it, I'm actually having fun. Whaddya know? Perhaps we need to give things a chance before condemning the developers.

5 RisposteHere's what I've seen so far from the opinions I've read. People who are getting lucky and getting placed on winning teams = Iron Banner Rift is great! People who aren't so lucky and keep getting placed with selfish morons who don't know how to play as a team = Iron Banner Rift is horrible!

1 RispondiI've been playing on and off for two days, really enjoyed it and haven't had any of the issues everyone is bitching about. Playing solo with no fire team, and I've won heaps of games more games than I've lost. Sometimes your team just gets smashed, I think they need to match people on some different criteria to make it a bit fairer. It's nowhere near as bad as people bitch it is. It can be hard getting a high score when everyone on your team is fighting to grab the spark, happened to me a few matches. Worst thing is the insane amount of lagy people with red connections all the figgin time. But that's just IB being normal.

Get off the stage!

4 RisposteMy experience was very bad -- lost 10 in a row to start (8 mercy, plus 2 that were pretty damn close to mercy) and then won 3 of 4 (with two blowout wins). But...I guess those people dominating me during that 10 match losing streak were probably enjoying the hell out of it. :) I gave up for the night after that and may or may not play it again until Sun/Mon when the boost is really high because it just wasn't fun for me. The Weekly Bounties in the past were super easy for me despite being an average to below-average player (usually got all but the Rank 4 checkbox done in the first night of playing with each character), but I'm not sure if I'll be able to play enough to get 7 wins for each character or High Score on all 3 (might just get lucky and have a match where all my teammates aren't fighting for it...).
-
5 RisposteI feel like you get way, way too many points for dunking the spark. I know that the reason for the insane number of points is to have people play the objective, but I was on a 10 person killing spree 3 minutes into a game and wasn't even close to the team leader that had scored one time. That's ludicrous.

Just won like 4 in a row playing solo

Me and you are 'Rift compatible' Que Pacific Rim giant monsta vs giant robots fighting time!

Modificato da BioShocker65: 1/28/2016 10:51:30 PMI really don't like rift . . . but, I don't mind trying a new mode for a week and a lot of people seem to be enjoying it. Couple of things I've noticed; the mercy rule is all over the place, drastically unbalanced games being played right up to the wire with no hope of a turn around. These should end early to get another started. In one game we were out played by over 10,000 points but shaxx took it all the way until the last 10 second count down. Yet in another game we were behind by about 1,000 points and he ended the match with over 3 minutes to go? Winning teams aren't being broken up after lots of consecutive wins. I played against the same team 5 games in a row, with my team unchanged, and they won all 5, I broke it up by going to orbit after the 5th lose at the rewards screen. I don't think this IB will encourage me to play crucible rift but it's a change to be sure.

1 RispondiI've been enjoying myself. Started too late in the last IB not e ough to get rank 3 but I'm currently rank 3 with 2/3 weekly bounties down. I doubt I'll get top overall score because honestly I'm mediocre at best but still fun. I've been dunked a LOT by organised teams but I've also won quite a good number and one match I won with an epic triple kill nova bomb then carried the spark to victory. Didn't think I'd like rift compared to control but I've proven myself wrong on this one. Really trying to reach rank 5 but will depend on how much playtime I get this Weekend.

Modificato da Mecha: 1/29/2016 12:04:29 AMI've enjoyed it. But I usually (when playing solo) get teamed up with people who never played Iron Banner or don't know how to fire a weapon versus a full team of snipers who think aiming down a hallway, bodyshotting thinking they're good. Other than that, playing with a team is going well for me in Iron Banner.

It's terrible. Pure and simple.
