Holy Christ, this was the worst idea ever.
Edit-
Reasons why:
Shit map rotation. -blam!-ing cathedral of dusk.
Red bars everywhere, worse than ever.
Games get lopsided too quickly, so there are way more quitters.
It's a stupid -blam!-ing game mode to begin with.
Edit 2-
I got paired with better connections overall last night, closer to what IB had felt like in the past (so still not great).
Rift is still stupid, and cathedral of dusk can still eat a dick.

2 Rispostethe red bars i see always "lag" right as my team is about to score and then they kill the carrier lol
-
I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Love this game mode
-
I'm actually enjoying it. I'll hit rank 5 on my Hunter by Friday and I have all my previous IB weeklies done and ready to turn in Monday fory Titan. Gonna be fun.
-
2 RisposteMaps do suck Red bars *should* be going away today at 10am PST igniting the rift and getting 3 kills doing it is nearly 2k of points scores can jump You sound salty cause you either: a. aren't very good or b. have no people to play with I had an awesome time last night playing with my friends and winning 80% of our matches, its a team based mode, you cannot just go backpack a team like in clash.
-
I've had next to no lag issues. A few yellow bars here and there that's it.
-
I don't like it. Your team requires more coordination and if your playing solo that's not good

45 RisposteModificato da Proof: 1/27/2016 3:22:45 AMThere seems to be quite a lot of people upset and i can understand why. To those who think you should have to join a team, git gud and should try playing the objective perhaps have too much time to play computer games and don't consider the other aspects of why people enjoy playing THIS particular computer game. Regardless of whether or not iron banner is seen as end game PvP by the more ardent crucible vet, it's an event that comes around for some who can just shoot stuff and get some decent gear. It's for those who want to play PvP, don't like trials or the sweatiness and try (not very well) to not take it seriously. Those who haven't gone flawless should quite enjoy pitting their wits in a team based death match to hone their skills, and inevitably, get wrecked or get better. It's an option they can choose to partake in, grab some bounties and then continue on in their pve based activities. If you whinge about getting wrecked in trials, you're a scrub. The problem is those individuals are bored of doing oryx on hard mode every tuesday, the nightfall drops absolute dog shit (although the crucible nightfall tier can spring some pleasant surprises) and running heroic strikes dropping three of coins is tedious. Then there's the gunsmith, Banshee gives them new guns to do what? Do that same shit mentioned above only with a different load out (until the sisters/oryx). There's like literally nothing to do except play crucible for any enjoyment in the game. Shit, they might even get a well rolled PC+1/Eyasluna/Ash Factory after like 70 hours, but as more people play, it's made crucible on a whole a lot more sweaty in the process regardless of SBMM. Now, there's been nothing new in pve. Sparrow racing was boring, let's not pretend after doing each of the two tracks five times it was gash. (I spent some money on a couple of sparrows, so i did a few more). Now Iron banner returns; Last two iron banners, you could just come on and play, shoot shit, sometimes capture the zone, simple shit. Rift has sent the pve mob and casual don into a tizzy fit and with good reason. Most times, when you come home from work/school/whatever, you may have to concentrate (on something other then a computer screen playing games), engage randoms for 8, 10, 12 hours.... you don't want to be forced to feel like you have to actively spend time searching for people in forums, lfg etc. to actually enjoy a game you've invested a lot of time and effort in for whatever reasons, which usually equate to, fun, having a good time. This game mode has basically pissed some off and people cannot articulate their grievances without it sounding like a scrub whinge, but I actually get it. I've lost 5 on the bounce, i just wanted to jump into the new event that isn't the same old shit and have a good time. If you're not in a fire team, you're going to have a bad time. You might be good solo, but you'll have to hope the other 5 are half decent or you know the lanes to the dunk (Most people ha played like 10 games of rift before today). If you don't, you're getting wrecked. Perseverance might help, but when it's not fun it doesn't last for long. However, people don't need to be so negative about it. Just don't play it... It's O.K... And people don't need to have a pop at those who don't like it. Be the bigger person, let them vent and enjoy playing it alone or with a fire team. Or perhaps invite them to your team, you know, reach out like a community. The game is now solely and mainly for those who revel in competitive PVP, (Even though there's no private matchmaking, custom game modes, lobby chat etc.) but even the most respectable PVP don has thrown a tizzy about lag, weapon balance etc. Now it's the PvE enthusiast/casual who are whinging about things and they aren't seen as important or, more importantly, doesn't really concern them. It's created quite the toxic forums. The next event after this one is another pvp one only this time it's a sausage frenzy three team two's up... This is only the crust of a shit sandwich. It's going to be hard for bungie to swallow because they've neglected a core player base at the expense of another (some feel) and that has led to everything announced being met with venom Anyway, I'll do a bit more beta testing for them but that Division looks pretty good in the mean time..... Cheer up guardians, it'll be something else in a week.

Cathedral of Dusk is bad regardless of what mode you are in.
-
7 RisposteAwful IB. You either get stomped/stomp the other team. That's the only way it ends up. Imbalanced and frustrating.
-
1 RispondiHere's an idea, how about all Iron Banners from now on are Sparrow races. Rift don't seem so bad now huh?
-
Isn't the current IB always the worst one ever?
-
Modificato da Benner_xL: 1/27/2016 7:10:14 PMI may be in the minority but I've enjoyed IB Rift, and I was one of the players that went "ugh" when it was announced. I've gotten stomped a few good times and been dropped into some unwinnable matches, but solo or with a team I've faired pretty well and almost to rank 4, and I'm pretty average at PVP. If you're not having much fun just turn it off. Enjoy the downtime of lack of content and pick it back up when Bungie has something to offer. Right now the drops are ehhh anyway if you're 316+. Either way good luck and hope your experience changes for you. *edited for poor grammar (as always)

I got 3 we ran out of medals medals in the past 4 games. I'm loving it.
-
Yep. Who was the brain trust that thought this would be a good idea? "Hey guys, the customers are pissed about our lies. Let's distract them with something else to be pissed about!" "Won't that just make them twice as mad?" "Shut up Richard!"
-
Was put in three games in a row that where called as I flew in. Three losses. 2 people I normally play iron banner with played a couple of matches and quit hated it.
-
The only thing I have to say about this iron banner is it's taking way longer than it did before to rank up last time I got three players to rank 3 in 1 day now I don't have one player to rank 3 in 2 days. As for the matchmaking either get on a really bad team or a really good team it's hit or miss. I think what's happening is that control is an easier match for people to understand and rift is a little bit more difficult for them to grasp the team concept especially if you're playing solo. But then again there are some solo players who can drastically change the outcome of the game.
-
1 Rispondilol it was a terrible idea. Control is terrible as well. Any 6v6 is terrible actually. It's just a laggy cluster -blam!- for pointless bad rewards.
-
Oke....im a just sum up my opinion about some things in destiny that shouldn't be: 1. Why the HELL did they strip all the year one gear/guns of their power? After a year hard work they be like: "(bungie director) hey i got a idea you guys! Lets strip all their guns and armor when we start year 2 instead of just overtopping year 1 gear/guns with more powerfull year 2 guns! Yaaaaiiiiyyyy!" 2. WHY do i need to spend MORE money on emotes nd stuff with stupid silver coins? People have bin paying A LOT especially the one's who bought the first 2 dlc's (i wasn't one of them but i feel sorry for the people that did) 3. Why didn't bungie just put a matchmacking server on raids for people that dont want to be dictated to be friends with everyone on the ps or Xbox? 4. ...........WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY PRECIOUS BELOVED THORNNNNNNNN IN PVP!!! Whyyyyyyy WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 5. yes.....the rift game sucks in my opinion....they need WAY to much adjustments to make this a "fun" game... 6. Bungie....i've bin loyal ever since i layed eyes on halo 1...after halo reach i stopped seeing what i loved to see...shooting,flying,aliens,vehicles that shoot rockets...freedommmm....then there was destiny....the only game that really resembles halo but with all the featers i wanted to see in halo...but PLEASE bungie take these points serious dam**t!
-
What??? No.... Worse than what you thought. Unless you only use Last Word, sniper, Quillim's Terminus
-
I mean for me at least i see a lot less red bars than regular crucible
-
It's either, get friends or get -blam!-ed up. Not one of my random teammates have even gone for the spark, I don't think they even know what rift is lol they seem to think they can win the match getting kills and randomly running around the map like an idiot. And they didn't change anything matchmaking related, it's all placebo. Red bars are still everywhere and the lag is as bad as ever.
-
My body is ready...
-
It's fcking abysmal and that's putting it mildly.
-
Why don't people like cathedral of dusk? Probably one of my favorite maps
-
my only thing was the mercy rule, when we would get way ahead it would stop the match, but on rift you can come back real quick.
-
Seems the two biggest problems with IB this time around are that, for one, people just don't like rift and, secondly, the connections are still laggy. If you fall under the first problem, guess what, you don't have to play..... And if you have trouble with the second then its just bad luck. Played all day yesterday with no problems with connection and a good team. Won 11-13 games, none of which were due to mercy rule. Oh and i was a solo player who really isn't that good at crucible.
