Semi-official petition to restore GGs original super duration while wearing symbiote
Why is it if a hunter wants to increase its super efficiency it has to sacrifice something.....its exotic armor for a reason

4 RisposteI don't understand.. if stormcaller and hammer titans can consistently score 5 to 7 kills, was achlyo really a problem? Maybe statistically GG was indeed giving more than their targeted 3 kills per super but idk man.. or achlyo was just an easy nerf

i feel that its stupid if we were lucky enough to get it we should be able to use it without a leash i dont even remember anyone saying it lasts too long (maybe a few but they were probably salty huntards) i dont even use it anymore because the time to use it is ridiculously short

Symbiote is the only exotic with a negative tradeoff now. Which is complete nonsense. Plus you only have 2 seconds for each shot with it... what's the point? You'll rarely get off that 4th shot and get a kill. You might as well just still have 3 shots.

Agreed. The aclyophage symbiote is not bad as far as head parasites go, but it's not very good as armor.

I TOTALLY agree with this. I was so excited when I heard Symbiote was coming back. And then I used it, lol. It's absolutely horrible!! I consistently get LESS kills in PVP while wearing it. Why oh why did it even need a nerf?

28 RisposteIt bothers me how Achlyophage is for whatever reason the only exotic to trade off something for it's [i]own f*cking exotic perk[/i]. Why doesn't Armamentarium decrease your Discipline as a tradeoff for two grenades? Why doesn't Purifier Robes decrease the duration of Radiance? I really don't see why GG needs a decrease in duration just because you get a 4th shot. "B-b-but it instakills people!" Yeah, so does Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb, but I don't see exotic armor pieces nerfing them.

I just want the GG to do more damage in PVE. I like to change up the subclasses I run when doing the daily monotonous Destiny tasks and it's lame that if I use GG against some basic yellow bar enemy it sometimes takes all 3 shots just to kill it. Same goes for Arc Blade. It also makes me feel like an ass for just producing a couple of orbs when the randoms I'm with are making orbs rain with shadow shot, storm trance, FoH, or HoS.

8 RisposteSage and Jon from bungie already stated why they made the change. They both went on to say that the main reason for them giving a shorter time limit go symbiote was because it was literally the only thing gunslingers used. They wanted to provide the game with more choices rather than having ONE clear choice for pvp. Before you say "why can't they let me play the way I want" sage also addressed this, and said it is because we want all players to play how they want that the change was made, so not ONE armor or piece dominates the subclass. This was from crucible radio on planet destiny for those that want to check it out
