Boycott Jan 7-10
Bungie is bribing people to log in from Jan 7-10 with a free emblem.
This would be a good time to NOT log in collectively as a community to send Bungie the message that we will not be bought and they need to get off their butts and fix their game. Remember that there is absolutely no new relevant content planned until September, sans a few minor events like the Halloween event.
Who else sees the irony here? Their numbers must be really hurting if they are trying to bribe people to log in... Perfect time to send a message if enough people can fight off the addiction for 4 days.

Edit: Thanks for all the bumps everyone! 1,300 replies in a few days, not half bad. Positive or negative replies, I don't care really. If Bungie reads the forums they've stumbled upon this post thanks to the sheer # of replies. Thanks everyone for bumping this to help draw attention to the subject!

I still have hope that the game we be what it portrayed post launch. I think that its asking to much to ask them not to play their games for any length of time. Many are enjoying the game. But I fear that there is a unseen timer on each player. Once that timer ends; the player will burn out; only to return when new content surfaces. My point is: play the game as much as you like, but do not be so content with mediocrity. Bungie" just like any other company" out is about profit; theres nothing wrong with that. But their strategies thus far makes them appear like they are taking advantage of the consumer. We need to come together as a community and some how show them that true profit comes from taking care of the consumer; not just from giving them enough to get buy. This was supposed to be a game that we could get lost in! This was supposed to be as big as Star Wars! I will not be the one to rage at bungie, but i will try to remind them of Destiny's potential. When a spouse sees his or her mate not living up to their potential; they stand buy their side until they get there.

10 RisposteYou realize thy did the same thing around this time last year? And the player base was still really strong at that time so I don't think it was out of desperation. It's just a free gift. A "thanks for playing". And before "that guy" says it, yes you have to play to get it. But literally only one activity. I mean why would they waste the code to send it to people who don't play?
