I recently got a big tv I'm not sure if I made a mistake I've always played on smaller screens

I think the TV in my games room is 42" and I have a average kd of 1.4 Although I haven't played PVP in forever because of crucible being AIDS right now.
-
I do fine. 70" TV. Have fun

It does matter, to a certain extent. For one, smaller screens allow you to have a wider view of what's going on. You can easily glance at everything and it makes you be more aware. Unlike big screens, where your eyes may not be able to look at everything due to the size. Secondly, I believe there is something called input lag. Where there is lag time between pressing a button and your character actually doing it. I'm pretty sure professional gamers use gaming monitors because this lag time is small whereas for larger televisions, it's longer. Thus I would say it does affect. However, I don't think it matters too much in Destiny since for specifically trials, most of it is usually teamwork, good aiming. Rarely is it dependent on reaction time to win a battle, nor map awareness since the radar is always active. But if you play other games like cod, I would recommend a gaming monitor .

2 RisposteModificato da UpF1st: 1/5/2016 2:32:16 PMAs long as your TV has: game mode selected you'll be fine. Without it I wouldn't be going in to PVP anytime soon.

Modificato da SliWolfPack: 1/5/2016 3:03:57 PMI do. . Lol 55"

50 inch LG here, never liked small screens.
-
I play on a 40 and I feel like that is the treshold before it gets bad.
-
Check my female Titan. She's the only character that my wife and kids haven't played since I just made her but whatever her KD is in control or IB is representative of my KD and it's pretty good last time I checked. My Tv is 65"
-
Its been measured the bigger the screen the higher response time. Idk if they have fixed it but last time I checked(2014) 50inch screens did not have 3ms response time.
-
It takes time to adjust to
-
60" TV I think I'm decent
-
Ya I do fine. The only adjustment I actually Y ever needed was going from 360 to the one.
-
I had the same problem at first. It just take a little bit of getting use to
-
I play on a 119" projector screen. Only problem I have is when my daughter/dogs open the window shades causing massive glare
-
Most likely over 50 inch and I do really well on decent days
-
I use a 60" LCD and go all right in the crucible, scoping in and out whilst trying to keep an eye on the radar is a bit tricky though.
-
72 inch screen and I do perfectly fine.

Modificato da zSnahzy: 1/5/2016 2:56:31 PMI have a 50 and I do well. However my favorite game is eso and while it looks good on a monitor there isn't a point if you aren't making videos or playing a lot of fps. Eso looks amazing on the 50 " tv and there is no drawback to it because it still plays great
-
27 inch screen. To see all of the screen, and enough to see the small details
-
I played on a 50" Samsung for a long time because I always thought bigger the better(that's what she sed;)) now Iv got a man cave I play on a 27" acer monitor. It's better if you play a lot of FPS games. Don't think I could go back to playing on a television now.
-
It takes time to adjust. I went from playing on a monitor to a 6 ft projector, and the transition was a little rough but I can't play just as good on the protector now. Give it some time
-
When playing games like this size of TV is relative to your distance from it.
-
I play on a big'un. I do well most of the time but I think some people with amazing reaction times must be in a monitor.
-
I use a 49' and id say its fine. Anything over 58' or so starts getting rough from my experience cuz the screen is so damn big you cant see everything at once
-
Modificato da MedicoMoe: 1/5/2016 2:41:45 PMI used to do great on a 32 inch screen Now im doing much worse on a small tv (idk exactly the size but its about the size of an average size laptop screen) Its not a monitor though just a tv My kd dropped in like 2 months from 1.65 to 1.54 so far and still dropping Doesnt have to be the size of the screen though, maybe just the tv placement, the place i sit, or just me having physical/mental issues

When I started destiny, I played xbone on 55" and PS4 on a 27" gaming monitor. My experience was that the 27" monitor was the perfect size. It was easier on the eyes, it was easier to see and focus on the entire screen, the response times were much faster, etc. My gaming improved by a lot when I went from big to smaller, and got harder (and with more eye strain) when I went from little to big screen. After 2-3 months, I just connected both consoles to the monitor. I'll never go back to the TV. I play on a higher end BenQ 27" monitor that I got from Amazon for around $350 on sale. Best monitor I've ever had. Easy on eyes, multiple hdmi connections, and can be twisted/turned/raised/lowered in many directions and Heights.
