Alright look, I am by no means a computer wiz. I really suck at that kind of thing and I won't pretend I'm not. However I can tell you one thing, the amount of time it takes Bungie to raise or lower the damage of ONE weapon is simply ridiculous. Look at other games for reference like Halo 5, BF4, and hell even Call of duty. All of these games may have ups and downs but all of them at least support their game in relative consistency. I'm not sure the exact models for BF4 and CoD however Halo 5 gets updates about once a month and I'm pretty sure BF4 gets a few balancing updates every once and a while so my one question to Bungie is why the hell aren't you able put out more updates. Yes I'm aware that you're not only working on content(which you'll probably lock off to PS4 anyway or through micro transactions) for live events but also working on Destiny 2 but you need to focus on NOW. We as a community want a game that we can play knowing that if anything were to be wrong with the game I can breath a sigh of relief knowing it may be ironed out in the next 3-6 weeks, not 3-6 MONTHS. As for the patches themselves they normally aren't very good. I mean come on you've had more than a year to get it right and you haven't. You say you listen to your fans, that statement is starting to were thin, because I'm at that point in which I'm pretty sure if you were to hand of the game to a bunch of dedicated fans they would make a better game then you did.
Thank you for reading.

There are always debates running both internally and externally on what changes to make. You have probably read the constant arguments in the community on nerf/don't nerf MIDA, and nerf/don't nerf snipers. I'm not sure what changes will happen next, but please continue to share your opinions.

The meta is the worst it's ever been. I'm not implying that things are op there isn't any diversity. Which makes PvP very boring now. I know people are able to,use what they want but now just about everything is out classed.

6 RisposteModificato da The Knowledge: 12/28/2015 2:02:11 AMI'm no coding guru either but with Destiny every single thing is different. Your helmet may affect a way a primary is used while your chest may affect the heavy or the gun gives you more agility. It seems like it could be an absolute nightmare compared to the games you've listed. It just seems that Destiny has an infinite amount of variables compared to the other games.
-
2 RisposteIt's harder with destiny because of the weapons and classes. In halo you had select few weapons to balance vs destiny with a larger variety of weapons. I do see where you are coming from though.
-
The other games that you listed don't have the Exotics and Perks that need to be factored in as well.

1 RispondiModificato da N4VYS43L: 12/31/2015 4:32:44 AMThey just need to start over. Revert all numbers back to what they were on launch day. Then go from there. I would give shotguns a 50%-75% PVE damage buff. Give fusion rifles a slight accuracy nerf( larger spread). And give pulse rifles a slight overall damage buff, but increase recoil. Hand canons were fine. Maybe give auto rifles a slight range nerf. I still believe scout rifles should get a precision damage buff, but slightly decrease fire rate.

Modificato da Airboy: 12/29/2015 10:57:14 PMThx mate. The first time after a year i bumped a thread. This is what happens when you let interns work on your game. Things get messed up and excuses are given.

13 RisposteDestiny is dead to hardcore gamers Destiny is dead to streamers Destiny is dead to most of players from year one Destiny is dead to players smart enough to understand it's a scam Destiny is dead to BUNGIE, cause they abandon their game and start for a new one Destiny is not dead for Desticles Destiny is not dead for causal public players Destiny is not dead for children who don't have any idea Destiny is not dead for addicted Bungie knows this game is a shit, so they decided to make time-based events with micro-transaction reward books to milk more money from their player base which as it seems will pay for any stupid thing. While these players keep doing the same shit over and over again and keep paying, they are building Destiny 2 and meanwhile they only do nerf updates because that means players will be online more, other then they really don't care or read anything. Bungie is ruled by disgusting people.

1 RispondiThat's because it was Taken.

12 RisposteIt's because Joe Staten left...the only real talent they've had since the halo days. Besides, they're too busy wiping their asses with the money people threw at the screen.
-
7 RisposteTL;DR hope the division does what Bungie couldn't.

I'm not sure about the dynamics or physics of those other games, but I feel like you shouldn't compare the real-war simulated games like BF4 to sci-fi adventurous ones like Destiny. The mechanics and physics are different. Plus, constant changing of weapon stats will become a nightmare. Imagine getting used to one type of gun, and then having to adapt to new changes that nerf/buff it. It would be least of all consistent. I'd rather they stick to the frequency of updates that they run now. But they just need to work on fixing the stats correctly, and not screwing up the experience with each update, which they've done so far.

Modificato da kcharris12: 12/29/2015 3:13:19 PMI want to say bungie went into uncharted territory by creating multiple variations of each weapon type. It couldn't have been hard within their past games to balance snipers, shotguns, and everything else because those were unique and not only that but in a usual game the only way to obtain the weapons were to pick them up. So, let's say snipers, could have been gamebreaking but no-one noticed because of the choke on how many people could get one and the only other modes where they were always there made them a had to use weapon for everyone. Now in destiny, everyone has the potential to have one in every mode available at all times in addition to their other weapons. Oh, and there are multiple variations of the sniper rifle. I do not see how this could be an easy transition.

2 RisposteI believe the bulk of Destiny's problems are its game engine itself. I believe the platform it was built around was flawed and dated. I think it is time consuming and is very hard for them to make changes. I would not be surprised if Destiny 2 is built off a new game engine and platform. I think this is a big reason they have abandoned any new content for this game. I think they are flushing the last 2 years down the toilet and starting over which is probably a good thing. They will simply carry your level over but I'll bet the rest will be gone.

26 Rispostewell, I recommend you save this text and re-post it on January 26. As stated by Deej, they are all off this that date, so nobody will even read this for a month. thats how much they care about us.

They didn't lose touch the game design and simplicity is perfect for kids
-
Bungie misplaced their Touch of Malice again? I'm sure they just left it in the raid again, they'll find it eventually.
-
Bungie -blam!-ed this game up big time.
-
If they can do micro transactions then they can do micro updates. Tired of Bungie trying to consolidate every fix into gargantuan updates that make my PS4 hard drive cry.
-
It is trivial for them to change the numbers, hopefully. Less trivial is finding out how to change them. Also, one of the Titanfall devs gave a talk on muiltiplayer servers and shit. Part of it discussed how -blam!-ing awful it was to pus client patches out. From the time it clears internal testing it'd take ~2 weeks to clear publisher and console owner QA. Destiny of course has some pull and can reduce that time, but large patches are a bitch to get out.
