...and you probably don't care, because Destiny has (in theory) enough different events for people to be able to find multiple ways to get ahead in the game, right? But right now, SRL Level 3 is the only reliable way to get helmets that drop above 310 Light. Not the Hard Mode raid, not the challenge modes, but being above SRL Level 3. So if I want the loot, I have to grind out something that I fundamentally don't enjoy...so I can improve my experience in Raids and PvE activities that I do enjoy. And I fundamentally don't enjoy it. I don't like the controls, I often feel like I'm being bumped and pushed around by better racers, the items that make me a better racer are different enough from normal equipment that it's a little disorienting. So I'm not very good at it - a fact that becomes exacerbated by a matchmaking algorithm which does not seem as if it tries to match me with equally skilled racers. I get the fact that you're trying to add fresh concepts to Year 2 of Destiny and I can appreciate that; however, right now it feels as if I'm being coerced into playing game modes that I don't like so that I can get to the game modes that I do like. But for me, that means (outside of bounties) that I've got another...65 races left before I can get to Level 3.
