Maybe its not the individual guns that are the problem, but the poor class, level and pvp design - there will always be one weapon that is op

7 RisposteI disagree with your statement that it's overuse justifies a nerf but I refuse to call you names or blast your K/D. Look at the statistics across all game modes for PvP since the yr 2 Mida was released. As far as primaries go Mida is not even in the Top 10 weapons that register kills for your more popular play modes. Hawksaw takes the honors as number 1 on most fields. The only game mode where Mida shows face over that time period is ToO and even then it is behind Nirwens Mercy, Hawksaw and Red Death and TLW. If you look at weapon classes in general over that time period scout rifles spike at the excact time Mida is sold by Xur on the 25th and 26th of December. They have already started to drop off and will be back to normal within the week. Mida is simply a new option in yr 2 that people want to try out. It's style demands you play a little further back and some people are not ok with that style. Before you know it they will put Mida down and pick back up their Hawksaw or TLW. I am using https://guardian.gg/en/weapon-stats?platform=2&start=2015-12-08&end=2015-12-28&mode=10&activity=0 for my info that I have used to develop my opinion. Feel free to look at the different options and stats. It is a great tool to see what is actually being used in crucible and the trends with the various weapon classes. If you have another site you are using for your info please share because I think that the community benifits from information and actual statistics instead of the he said she said of the forums or our own tiny view of what we see in the crucible.

The only reason it's hype right now is because Xûr sold it, so if you never had one you're using it and because of all the guns that were brung to year two that's the best one. The gun is balanced but people are so mad they see it a lot they get confused on if it's popular or genuinely OP. I can take a Hawkmoon, Tlaloc, or even Hard light into pvp and hold my own against anyone. I'm not the greatest at pvp but I know for a fact that MIDA and Boolean Gemini are the two most balanced scouts out available to all so anyone complaining about them needs to reevaluate their play style and quite trying to jump on the bandwagon for hot guns that are just as good as many others.

Not sure if satire or serious. If serious, other weapons need buffs, primaries don't need anymore nerfs except maybe TLW's sub .3 second ttk.

2 RisposteWhile your observations are not incorrect, I don't think Mida is quite as OP as you're making it out to be. In the very same interview they talked a lot about the weird "hive mentality" people have in this game and how people will switch to whatever is killing them or jump on the hype bandwagon.

Give it a week or two for the shiny to wear off and then people will use it a lot less when another new weapon comes and that becomes the new hot item.
