I hope this isn't bait, because I've got a question (any other Trans people can feel free to comment as well). How do you feel about having kids and your ability to give them a normal upbringing? Obviously you aren't some sort of different species or something, so your ability to care for them isn't going to be any different, but what about their social life? What happens when their friends find out that his/her parent is actually a man who transitioned to a woman? Obviously in a perfect world this isn't a problem, but it's not a perfect world, so it is a problem, especially with kids because they aren't as respectful about people who are different than them. So while an adult may hold their tongue and keep their thoughts to themselves, even if they hate everything about Trans people, a child normally won't do the same. It could potentially ruin the child's life. A kid at my school (there were actually 2 or 3 of them, they were siblings, only 1 was in my grade) had gay parents (2 dads) and kids were so cruel to him (he was also a bit weird, they had some family problems, that's how they ended up with this couple in the first place). He had no friends and everybody treated him like a completely different person just because he was adopted by 2 gay men (who, for the record, were very nice people). I can't even imagine what they would have done if his parents were Trans. So I'm just wondering if you think it's fair to bring a child into your situation and if you do, how you plan to handle the inevitable shit storm that will be his social life. [spoiler]sorry if this sounded offensive in any way, it was not meant to be, I don't have a problem with Transgender people, I just wanted your opinion on also bringing a child into your situation because your decision no longer only affects your life, it affects the life of a human who can't consent or make any decisions for themselves[/spoiler]

In other words, your not born this way. You simply put a dumb thought in your mind and believed it to be. You have a choice, being transgender is a choice. Being black or white isn't a choice,being born with a disability is a choice of how you wish to live with it.
