Hey there Erik, The reason you didn't have MMT unlocked upon year 2 and the creation of the exotic kiosk is because you didn't have one in your possession. Even though you have earn several previously you had to own a physical copy to have it unlocked in the kiosk. Because MMT is a year 1 exotic you can earn through the year 2 method of: Buying it from Xur (If he has it for sale), Earning it from the exotic chest or killing Oryx and decrypting it from a year 2 exotic primary engram. You can also gain it from year 1 activities such as: Prison of Elders Queens chest (requires treasure key), exotic chest in vault of glass, killing atheon, killing the Deathsinger and Crota. You can also obtain it from Xur if he is selling a legacy primary weapon engram. Because you don't have a year MMT your roll on your decryption will be bias towards guns you don't currently own so your chances will be a lot higher. Just remember that if you are going for or by chance pick up a year 1 version you'll need to have 150 legendary marks saved up to have it upgraded.
