Hunger saw only his prey. And right now, his prey was Lake. No distractions. No diversions. Just focus. Lake barely had time to stand before Hunger pounced on him. He tried to fight back but it was all over when Hunger clamped it's ugly jaws onto Lake's neck. Picked him up, Hunger stood up and jumped onto the roof of the building. Only now did he even remember about the other guardian. Lake just hung there helpless. He felt himself being drained of everything. His neck felt as if someone was pressing a hot coal to it, and he started losing feeling in the rest of his body, it was mind-numbingly cold. It was getting hard to think. Hunger shook him around before unclamping his jaws and throwing Lake onto another building. Lake didn't react or try to break his fall. Just just collided and lay there, uncaring. Hunger's mouth was dripping with freshly spilt blood. It was grinning evilly. It started to taunt the other guardian, laughing at how she left her teammate to die. And whilst it couldn't trail her, in the seconds it took to grab Lake before she teleported she would be vulnerable. No doubt he'd tell her 'it was the wrong decision, that it was too late, ya de ya de ya.'! [/i] Ro" Damn it Lake why you have to go and do that."
