There are those who say that the Christian God is unfalsifiable, and transcendent, but they are so deeply wrong. Let's just briefly outline what an unfalsifiable claim is and what it means to be transcendent for those of you who might not be aware.
1. An unfalsifiable claim is any claim made that cannot be proven or disproven.
Example: There is a giant purple dragon outside of the universe. Is it possible? I suppose. Can it be disproven? Well, no. We cannot see outside of the universe so there is no way to verify one way or the other. There exists an infinite number of these and the idea of a creator or a "God" of the universe is one of these unfalsifiable claims.
In fact, it's completely irrational to single out a single unfalsifiable claim as truth as there exists an infinite number of those and each are equally unknowable and equally as valid in terms of evidence. If one were to assert that a single unfalsifiable claim were true then logically one would then have to conclude that all these possible claims are true.
However, the Christian God lives inside the universe and actually seems to have a real physical form. The God in the Torah is activity interacting and even communicating with people all the time. Communication via sound waves requires a physical form of matter and matter obeys the laws of the universe. Therefore this God must obey the laws of the universe. This "God" must then by his very nature exist inside the universe and must be subject to the laws of the universe and therefore can be disproven.
If we then accept that the God of the Torah does in fact exist in this universe (which the Torah supports) then he is no longer unfalsifiable. So, is there anything that this God is claimed to have done that is literally impossible according to the laws of the universe?

The Torah claims that this God created the world in 7 days. This is false.

If you're talking about Jesus and let's be honest the whole "father son" thing is completely insane but Jesus was said to have walked on water. For that to be possible Jesus (being made of matter) would have to have a lower density than water which is impossible for a human being.
Jesus was a human no? And Jesus was made of matter no? It's impossible for a human to walk on water. God disproven.
Well, that was easy. Maybe Buddhism will be harder?

Buddah was also just a man

2 RisposteModificato da PJ Sam: 3/15/2016 4:30:09 PMlol I love how you link bbc. I can argue the world was created in seven days once you ascribe that their is a god .why bother ascribing that the miracle took billions or millions or even thousands of years .instead wouldn't it make sense for a all powerful being to create the world and everything in it relatively faster. the reason why God created the world in seven instead of one day cycle . or one minute no one can answer but what I can tell you that no evidence including carbon dating is believable and 100 percent accurate . So once you ascribe to Judaism"s belief you ascribe to it to the whole way . You don't pick and choose Judaism when it's convenient for you to . Because Judaism believes that picking and choosing is exactly the opposite of what God intended and is forbidden.

1 RispondiQuick question Lincoln. If there was no earth in the first place what constitutes a day? Is it still the rotation of earth or is it not? Is it whatever is there's wim on what a day is? I'm going to use the bible to quote the apostle John in saying, "In the Lord's eyes, a day may be a thousand years and a thousand years may be a day..." Also literally your first sentence negates your entire point saying you've disproven something and then proceed to say how He can't be disproven. And another quote, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed you could move a mountain" so grow your faith as big as you can, Lincoln and if you still can't move a mountain after 30 years. Then you can go around starting internet religious flame wars.

Modificato da Moot: 12/19/2015 10:52:59 PMIt's pointless to believe in something that can't be proven to disproven. That coupled with the many disproven phrases of the bible makes for a pretty unbelievable faith.

Jesus was both human and god.

11 RisposteOk. I didnt read op's post. But i read some comments. Heres my view. I see everyone saying god is omnipotent. Bible says hes all knowing, all loving, and all powerful. If he created everything, why would he create nonbelievers? Free will? But then why would he punish people for not believing in him, even though he let them think that way in the first place. Unless he didn't know there would be non believers. He is not all knowing. He's punishing his own creations even though he says he loves them. Why would he hurt the souls of what he loves? He is not all loving. Why doesn't he just flip his godswitch and make all of humanity believe he exists and love him? He either refuses to, which would again disprove his all lovingness, or he cant. He is not all powerful. Why would he create evil, and then say there wouldn't be any evil? Unless he didnt know there would be evil. He is not all knowing. He punishss evil after saying he loves all of his creations. Not all loving. You know where this is going. Why worship something that allows evil, which he promised we wouldnt have, and punishes people for thinking freely? That's no omnipotent god, thats a monster with too much power.

9 RisposteEven if you don't think ALL of it is true you have to agree that some parts are. Like in Europe right now they are trying to develop a chip that can be put in the wrist in order to buy and sell things... Which matches up with the mark of the beast that the bible talks about. (revelation 13:17)

4 RisposteModificato da urkmaninfinity1: 12/17/2015 7:37:17 PMYou can't disprove a religion. It's something someone believes, and can't actually have any type of physical form. It's a belief, and you can choose to not believe it. That doesn't mean you should try to do it wrong because you can't. There is nothing you can say to convince me otherwise.

I didn't read most of it but I belive it was created in 6 days, then the magical unicorn took a day off.

That bit about walking on water is an argument I've never heard before. And an interesting one at that. Science FTW!
