The slowest sparrow ever assembled
So... My sparrow is slow. Really slow. Like lapped every time slow. I read online people with Elite controllers having this issue. But... I don't. Just a regular old controller with a slow, last place sparrow.
Anyone know a fix?

Hit the boost gates, hold down left trigger, and sometimes use the right trigger to slide around corners. I won at least one race with the tumbler at 150 speed.

My warlock's sparrow is much slower, take a look

Left trigger to boost, You should be boosting as gas. The boost button is honestly the gas button, then you get extra boost from the gates but if you don't use the regular sparrow "boost" every time you want to go somewhere with gas then your gonna be at a crawl the whole time

I'm using a normal controller and I've won a few. Only went last once because I over boosted right before finish.

2 RisposteI'm using an elite controller and I've won six races. The only thing g I notice is that [i]occasionally[/i] If I'm modulating gather boost it will cut out completely and I need to [b]completely[/b] release the throttle or it won't re-engage when I try to just feather it. I'll try a couple of races with a standard XB1 controller and see if that changes anything.

I won a race with the original sparrow, so I would think you are not doing something right. Just hold down L2 the whole time and hit the gates when needed, take shortcuts when needed. I don't tap R2 for sharp corners and just let of off L2 for just a millisecond while turning. You may have issues with your controller though, if you are getting lapped.

3 Rispostehit gates to not only get a speed boost but increase your maximum speed. Missing gates will drop your max speed. Check your triggers to see if you're braking by accident or not boosting enough. boosting is how you move forward, the left stick is to move left and right nothing else.

I used to just make a extremely sharp turn almost as if I was drifting, it kind of hard to do in srl.

2 RisposteModificato da Elite 529: 12/10/2015 1:43:23 AMIt looks like you're using the grave robber sparrow so here's some tips. -When you hit gates, use your extra boost and you go much faster. -When going around turns, stop for a slip second, turn and boost in the desired direction. -The sparrow is really good for boosting ahead of people like that. -Always turn wide and boost when you get around the corner Hope that helps.
