Just read the post that the Log Book will cost 10€.
And to be honest, I was speechless after it.
I honestly hope that the event will be a monumental failure, in terms of financial income, and that nearly nobody will actually spend those 10€.
It's a slap to the face for everyone who paid 140€ until now, given the fact that the game still lacks a coherent story and a meaningful amount of content.
Edit
Just to illustrate how absurd the pricing is:
10€ is half the price of TDB and HoW, or 1/4th of TTK. Obviously it's also 1/6 of Vanilla Destiny.
Does anybody in here believe that the Sparrow league will provide half the amount of content of HoW/TDB?
Or 1/4 of what TTK represents?
Not even talking about the usefulness of the Log Book (it's useless), just comparing prices within the Destiny universe.
Edit 2:
I just wanted to say that this is the first time a Bungie employee has ever answered to one of my threads!
Even though I personally don't really know what to do with the answer, it's refreshing to actually see a response.
Cozmo says:
The 320 Gear is not a reward for having the Record Book and has nothing to do with it. It will drop for everyone. The gear that is rewarded for getting the Record Book has 3 light, but can be infused if you like how it looks.
2 RisposteDon't buy it.

1 RispondiDon't buy it. Unless you want Cozmo and team to use golden toilets in there home. What a joke this game has become. Their massive marketing campaign got us all LUL.
-
I hope you didn't buy it.

8 RisposteModificato da NPeraAz: 12/8/2015 10:24:00 PMIt looks like it will provide twice the content of TDB. I mean come on, does anyone actually remember that thing? One good mission, three crap missions, a great Strike (that some people hated), and a broken raid. Now saying all that, ten dollars is really only for the SRL gear, since we get all the playable content for free. Wait... one second. We get all the playable SRL content for free. Bungie this new business model makes no sense. If you don't charge us money how do we know we are getting stuff? It's like you created a model where everyone gets stuff and people willing to pay more get a little flair and end up paying the cost of creating all the content. That's so unfair to... er... your a dummy Bungie!

2 Rispostenegatively impressed? Isn't that depressed, or not impressed?
-
4 RisposteWow, you guys are really getting hosed. €10 = $13.59, which is not $10. Bungie Really needs to learn exchange rates.
-
2 RisposteModificato da liljanny: 12/9/2015 3:35:40 PMI was also extremely upset with this. Why the hell should I pay $10 just to see my stats. Everything cozmo said in his reply doesn't help at all, it actually makes me more upset. At least before I thought I was also getting some good gear along with it but now I have to worry about infusing it all the way from 3? So I'm paying them an obnoxious amount of money to get something that should already be provided and something that is going to force me to play the game a lot more just to be able to use it
-
The log book is volume 1. So you know you'll have to buy another one if/when this shit show returns. The physics are off. Tired of getting flung across the map by the same dudes that probably can't beat the jumping puzzles in the raid.
-
you know you can just, oh i dont know, NOT buy it?
-
37 RisposteThe only thing you get is cosmetic shit you cant use in trials or the raid.
-
As soon as I saw that it was $10 I laughed my ass off. Bungie are some bold motherfu**ers. I cant wait till they make faction sparrows for $5 lol. They might make me pause and think about it for a few seconds before I laugh again.

Modificato da SMmod: 12/9/2015 3:36:10 PMI was disappointed with the log book also "for exclusive rewards" this is not the direction I wanted this game to go. I did how ever purchase an emote that I liked. If it supports gaming content that is free and doesn't feel like a pay to win concept I'm ok with that. Again fun event disappointed with the log book and exclusive rewards thing. I draw the line at buying gear to play a game...

3 Risposte200 bucks for silver and passes tomorrow - check 3 weeks of screaming at tv as I come in last - check 3 weeks of laughing my ass off as I make friends blow up - check

This event is pretty awesome, I'm happy with it. Screw the log book. I don't even go to Tess at the tower so it doesn't affect me.

4 RisposteModificato da NeekoMcCool: 12/9/2015 10:22:18 AMWhat's the logbook do exactly? What can you get from it that you can't get otherwise? I'm really curious cuz they didn't explain it well.
-
Agreed man. I feel like it should definitely be free. The emotes are expensive enough and there are many nice ones to choose from. And some of us already spent 140$ on this game but bungie doesn't think about that
-
4 RisposteLet the idiots pay for this one. They're basing the popularity of racing on how much money they make from the log books. Bungie figured out how to charge it's playerbase for testing a beta, then got people to buy every emote that can only be used one at a time, and now they're testing a new feature and charging 10 dollars to make it interesting enough to continuously grind. Next they'll charge you 10 bucks per strike and 5 dollars for three of coins. Don't pay for this shit. Everyone is literally paying them to test a new idea that is only partially an "event."
-
1 RispondiThey are putting some that should be a BASIC FEATURE behind a pay wall. -blam!-ing disgusting.
-
Keep buying those microstransactions and subsidizing my destiny experience while I keep my wallet in my pocket. Eververse is like my destiny food stamps ;)
-
5 RisposteYeah I don't get this one at all. You may as well charge for everything else. Who wouldn't want to check stats? Ten dollars for something that should be included in the activity to begin with, huh? And what happens after three weeks, do I get my ten dollars back? Do I have to spend another ten when the event comes back around? This whole thing is beyond stupid.
-
1 RispondiA $10 log book for a 3 week event....If anyone buys this, theyre an idiot. 1) No one cares about sparrow racing stats, and 2) if you're going to track these stats just add it to thw game for free or make the log book free. That's rediculous!
-
That's absurd and obscene. 10$ for a book that records stats. Every game on the market just does that for free. Or already included. Heck the 1st year of Destiny every little kill, and Dreg killed, accidental deaths, fusion rifle spree and more was recorded on Bungie.net or the outside websites. what ?? Will Bungie charge for those stats in Destiny 2 ?? Oh are you missing ghosts. Just pay 9.95 for the ghost recorder book that tells you which ones you have found. LMAO. Damn
crap ...watch them actually steal my ghost finder Eververse $9.95$ book for Destiny 2 and 3 .....
-
2 RisposteIf it was $1 i would understand but $10!? What the heck is in that log? DLC?
-
It will continue to be a problem as long as people keep buying silver. Activision just sees it as good business. If it's working they won't change it.
-
5 RisposteI can't believe you have to pay $10 for a book that tracks your stats...Bungie keeps doing things that keep pushing people farther away. YOUR PLAYERS ARE GONE..stop doing shit to keep them gone.
-
2 RisposteSRL added a new gametype, new armors, new shaders, entirely new sparrow models and items, new quests, and all for free. I'd say $10 for the book is fair. SRL IS about 50% of the DLCs.
