[Fallout 4] Get Rich Quick Guide

Hi, I'm Tyler, and I like donuts. Today I will be telling you how to earn TONS of caps in Fallout 4 without cheating and it's pretty simple. Harvesting Mutfruit and Purified Water One of the fastest ways I've found to make a lot of caps is harvesting Mutfruit and Purified Water. They are both extremely easy to get and can make some pretty fast caps. Let's start with Mutfruit. Mutfruit is surprisingly profitable in bulk and extremely light weight and it's easy to make some quick caps once you have a nice set up. If you don't have any Mutfruit to plant, you can go to Diamond City and find some trees in the back, or Greentop Nursery and pick Mutfruit from the trees in the greenhouse. After you have some Mutfruit go to one of your settlements and plant the Mutfruit in rows using Workshop mod. Now assign settlers to tend to the plants using Workshop mode; you do this by going to Workshop and clicking a settler and then clicking the plant you want them to tend. Plants with a Red Vault Boy symbol are unassigned plants; each settler will automatically assign themselves to 5 more plants once you assign them to their first plant (each settler can work on 6 plants). Create these rows of Mutfruit plants in as many settlements as you want to increase your profit; the more you have, the more Caps in your pocket. Once you have rows of Mutfruit planted and being taken care of, you'll need to create a container. Preferably in your main settlement, in a designated room/house (I'll explain why in a second). Now its time to either wait/sleep or go off and do a few quests (I prefer the quests). After 48 in game ours your Mutfruit will be ripe for the picking and quite profitable. Not only will there be delicious fresh fruit on your trees, but there will be some in your Workshop as well. Just walk your fruity butt over to any workbench and select transfer and head over to aid and there should be some extra stored in there that your settlers didn't eat. This is where that container comes in. Your Mutfruit won't pile up in your workshop; if you don't take it out you won't get any more than what's already in there. Take out your fruit and place it in the container and save it up until you feel like selling it or if you need to make a trip to Diamond City for some ammo. Right now with my Charisma and perks I sell 100 Mutfruit for 500 Caps. I fast travel in between 3 settlements every few quests to gather fruit and I usually get around 150-200 Mutfruit in those 3 settlements. That's up to 1,000 Caps in a pretty short amount of time. Now it's time for Purified Water. This one will take more resources to build and Purified Water is heavier, however Purified Water is 2.2x more profitable than Mutfruit. In the same settlements that you grew your Mutfruit in, you're going to want to build either Water Pumps, Water Purifiers or Industrial Water Purifiers. At most you will need 50 Water Pumps or 15 Water Purifiers or 4 Industrial Water Purifiers; you only need 150 Water for each settlement. If you're town has water (the Sanctuary is perfect for this) and you have the resources (you can use the Mutfruit to buy shipments for fast resources) you can make the larger Purifiers, however you will also need to make some generators next to Purifiers or in a designated area and attach wires to them directly (if the generators are next to the purifiers) or attach the wires to them using connectors. If the settlement doesn't have water, just chain a bunch of Water Pumps in rows until you hit 150 Water or run out of materials. Once you have these set up you're all set to wait. You don't have to assign any settlers just wait 48 hours or quest around and when you go back to open your workbench you will have a bunch of Purified Water waiting for you. In each of my 3 settlements that I've developed I have at least 150 Water, and every time I open my Workbench after waiting 48 hours I have 99 Purified Waters (I think that's what they max out at) waiting for me; that's 297 Purified Waters each trip through my settlements (I'd recommend bringing a companion along to handoff some Purified Water to as they get quiet heavy and you can become overcumbered). I get 1200 Caps every 100 Purified Waters. That's 3,564 Caps pretty damn quickly. I personally save up my Mutfruit and Purified Waters in a container until I have enough money to buy a legendary weapon or if I need some ammo. I currently have 1,000 Purified Waters in one container that holds Stimpaks as well as some backup first aid, and one more container with 453 Mutfruit and 764 Purified Waters that I save for Caps. Saving Caps Now that I've told you how to get the Caps quickly, I'm going to tell you how to save them and use them wisely. First things first, stop using Stimpaks (only use them when you have a broken limb). I went to a friends house the other day and he turned on Fallout and ran into some Super Mutants and every time he would lose a fraction of a health he'd using a Stimpak. In turn he would go and waste his caps on buying more Stimpaks. Don't be like my friend. I told him of his errors and now I will tell you. USE STIMPAKS ONLY WHEN YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO! Only if you're right about to die and need to revive quickly or if you have a broken limb. Otherwise you should either resort to extra Purified Water you gather in your harvesting or go hunting for anything that has meat. Radroachs, Radstags, Radscorpions, Bloat Flys, Mole Rats, Brahman et cetera. Gather meat as you travel the Commonwealth and then bring it back to any of your settlements and cook it at a Cooking Fire. Once you cook the meat, it will not only grant you a lot more health than if you were to eat it raw, but you will also receive ZERO Rads, which is very good indeed. Eating food that you cook instead of stabbing yourself with a Stimpak whenever you lose a little health will save you a lot of Caps in the long run and help you save tons of Stimpaks without buying them from merchants. Just remember that eating food heals you a lot slower than Stimpaks do, so be careful when your health gets low and use a Stimpak when you absolutely have to. Another way to save your money is through the Skill Tree and Perks. Each time you raise your Charisma you gain better barter prices with vendors. You can also find the Speech Bobblehead for an extra Charisma point. As for the perks, there's two that I will point out. The first one being the first Perk in the Charisma perk tree, Cap Collector. You can upgrade this perk to make the buying and selling prices at vendors "much better". The other Perk is actually a set of perks from the magazine, Tale of a Junktown Jerky Vendor, which gives you 5% better buying prices at vendors for each magazine you find. I hope I helped you with these tips on getting Caps. If you have any other ideas on earning Caps, or think I'm missing anything, just comment and if it's helpful I'll add your input and give you credit. Also if you have any questions, comment and me or somebody else (maybe?) will be glad to help. Edit 6 All of the extra tips have been great. Thanks everyone for the positive comments and feedback. Let me also say that my method for harvesting has greatly advanced. I now receive around 200+ Purified Water from 4 separate settlements. I currently have 7986 Purified Waters saved (just used about 1000 to buy shipments of materials) for exchanging for goods and 1000 as a backup. I have 35,000ish Caps. 1000+ ammo for most of my ammo save Cannon Balls, Missles, Alien Blaster Rounds et cetera. Also, I would like to state that I am not trying to brag; I am trying to tell you this shit -blam!-ing works and all WITHOUT CHEATING! Everything I've done to get all of those things, I've done through what is posted here. Additional Tips Craft Jet - thank you blablablaBLAM12 Go to your Chemistry Station at your settlement and craft Jet using Plastic and Fertilizer. You can turn around and exchange it for ammo or sell them for quick caps. Save Pre-War Money - thank you Ghostman22122 Before you go ahead and convert your Pre-War Money into clothe, don't. Save your Pre-War Money and save it for a quick exchange later. Best thing is, you can store it on you, as it weighs nothing, however I keep mine in a safe under my bed. Drugs Are Good for You - thank you CurvedBubbles Pick up every drug you find and wrap it in a damp paper towel and stick it up your butthole. In Fallout 4, you're going to want to pick up every drug you find as well, but this time you'll just save them up to sell or exchange them for Caps later. Iron Lungs - thank you VLADAMIR I usually don't tell people cigarettes are good, but CIGARETTES ARE GOOD. Pick them up and store them to exchange for Caps for later. For me, individual cigarettes sell for 1 Cap each, packs go for 12, and cartons sell for 50; it helps that Cigarettes are literally EVERYWHERE in this game, Cartons do weigh a lot though. Build Shops - thank you True Killuh and HARL3Y15 Build shops in your settlements. Not only can you sell the items you've harvested to them, but every few days when you go to your workshop you will have a good amount of free Caps waiting for you.
