Personally, this is one of the dumbest things Obama has done. Any thoughts?

It's our duty to help these refugees, they are the MOST affected by terrorism... What's sad is, they don't know if they should be more affraid to come here, and deal with the sheep that are bread to hate them, or stay there and continue to be brutally killed and forced to live in fear... What has happened to this country, this is not what America was founded for...

5 RisposteFun fact: Did you know you have a large statue in New York that states "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free"...etc. Maybe you should think about taking that thing down down. Its just false advertising....

18 RisposteModificato da Gooch_McGrundle: 12/1/2015 10:41:19 PMSyrian refugees are also victims of terrorism. It's funny how so many right wingers claim to be good Christians then literally turn away refugees. There couldn't be a better example of not practicing what you preach. The cherry on top, is they also like to think that Obama is some evil godless Muslim and he's a better Christian than them lolz. In the end it's really just about not being a dogshit person though. These are the same people voting down countless bills to help veterans and homeless, then they turn around and say they can't help refugees while we have homeless veterans to worry about! They've made it illegal to be homeless in places, illegal to feed homeless people and are constantly cutting food and housing aid.
i don't want to live on this planet anymore
In my opinion we are setting ourselves up for the next 9/11, and we won't have Bush to blame this time O_O
-
4 RisposteYou realize out of all the times we have feared that refugees coming over here will wipe us all out, only once has it come true, And we celebrate it with the corpse of a turkey.
-
3 Risposteif one moves by me, I'm moving away. as "ignorant" and "racist" as you think (even though it's not racist at all), how can we tell if they are radical or not? Just because they show a bible to the liberal missionaries and workers who are in control of letting them in doesn't mean they're Christian.

2 RisposteCiting breitbart.com as a source automatically disqualifies one from serious consideration.

1 RispondiHonestly, it would be a lot easier an faster to get to America literally any other possible way. The refugee process takes 18-24 months. Could isis wait? Sure, but traveling with refugees would be less efficient and more time consuming. Plus refugees don't get to pick what country they wanna go to.
-
4 RisposteThe US is taking in around ten thousand a year. This is nothing compared to what most countries are doing. Not to mention that we are so much bigger and finantially able to help yet we won't help. If any thing we should except more refugees. And so what if we have refugees in every state they don't cause nearly any harm to the state their in. Such as I idaho there's already a camp outside of Boise but it causes no problems what so ever
-
I don't think he can do that...didn't the real leaders of this nation already say absolutely not? Like 200-100? Personal thoughts: I say fine. Stick in csmps in the SW built for the train folks from SA that stopped coming. We built entire massive facities for them and they stopped coming... So let use those same facilities to vet and educate the refugees. Before we release then to gen populace. We should be a safe as possible.
-
4 RisposteTexas is suing the U.S. now to prevent refugees from resetting in Texas.
-
Why is this bad? Xenophobia is not the answer to terrorism and these refugees cannot stay in just a small amount of states.
-
Does it matter?
-
Why should we have to take them in. There are plenty of wealthy countries that are of a similar cultures very close to them. It would be much easier on every one if they stepped in to help

37 RisposteModificato da Infrared Ink: 12/1/2015 9:03:41 PMThis is pretty stupid. Even with the most strict Refugee screening system, we still let in the possibility of a threat into the country. Better safe than sorry I always say.
-
5 RisposteLol Obama can't force us to take in refugees
-
Modificato da BlaqSpiral: 12/1/2015 3:49:48 PMThe federal government has total control over immigration policy, however, States don't have to cooperate, they can and will make this process hell for the administration. I would highly suggest the federal government respect the choice of the states. "Hines v. Davidowitz, 'the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution.' States do not get to overrule the federal government on matters such as this one."

Idiots on this posts. Bombing Syria creates refugees. Don't bomb Syria, and you won't have any refugees to deal with. Simple.
-
They tewk er jewbs!!!
-
1 RispondiSo this is it. Doesn't matter that we help the refugees or not. The west has officially lost the war on terror.
-
They don't have the right to refuse
-
1 RispondiAren't a lot of republicans "Christians"? Christians would take these people in and love them, not turn them away.
-
He's not forcing anything, states can't refuse them. They can make it harder for them but they can't deny travel into their borders.
-
10 RisposteIt's international law. The US has no power over refugees, it's the UN's job.
-
Isn't this just like the Holocaust or the Japanese concentration camps
-
5 RisposteI'd just like them to be screened (a lot) before they're allowed access.
