Poll speaks for itself.

^^^For all the bear activists!
Recently got into an argument here on the forums on why we as americans have guns. All in all I gave an answer why so many of us love our 2nd amendment right yet only recieved hate and insults without any provocation.
Oh and apparently It's just because I'm a "hick"
So What are your thoughts on gun ownership gaurdians?
*Edit #1- Tried to update the poll But could not change it in order to add the
"Agree with 2nd amendment but support reforms" As an option, therefore picking neutral or commenting is acceptable as a response.
*Edit #2- I appreciate the feedback and the (mostly) mature responses! Thank you! And continue to vote, I want to see what the entire community thinks!
*Edit #3-
In order to clear up some questions directed to me, My opinion is that I obviously support the right to bear arms. I also am not entirely against reform to have a better screening for background checks, people with criminal history should not be afforded the right to a dangerous weapon with real responsibility when they have proven they themselves are not responsible with normal civil law. Severity of criminal activity would dictate the outcome IE- Murder, theft, rap3, or any other serious conviction.
However I do not agree with registration.
Time and time again the Government has proven ineptness with such matters and leaves to question just how much leeway and power they could use such a foothold on our sacred rights. I do not (as many others
I suspect feel the same) trust my government or have full faith they have our "best interest" at heart. They have proven they do not.
*Edit #4- I am sorry there are no bear arms here :( Sorry to dissapoint some of you looking to have a grizzly hug and whatnot
*Edit #5-
Destiny has guns...Bungie will one day nerf all your weapons to uselessnes then you will see you naysayers~shakes fist in air~
Just adding some relevancy to the post so people will stop complaining about how offtopic this is.
These forums are always offtopic anyway, who cares?
*Edit #6- Moved to offtopic because I recieved my feedback I was looking for. Thank you to everyone who voiced their opinions and voted!

Modificato da Echo-5: 12/3/2015 9:07:22 AMWhat if I want to arm bears? Then what? Can I build a secret militant bear army?
-
The right to arm bears would be better imo.
-
3 RisposteWhy would anyone be against owning a pair of bear arms?
-
Guns don't kill people, bullets kill people.
-
Kill a shark with your bear arms Must kill bear first
-
We should just have better background checks and if there even is a slight crime, like robbery, then they should be denied.

11 RisposteModificato da MrMonkey1024: 11/30/2015 10:11:49 PMI'd only agree if Americans were sensible people... Obviously "guns don't kill people, people kill people," but Americans have no sense so they shouldn't have this privilege. Necrobump

2 RisposteI agree with it. But we need to make it more difficult to obtain. Same with the ammo , IMO. I don't know how I would make it more difficult, but I think it's what needs to happen.

Hells yeah

Right to arm bears

Man.. the things I would do if I had actual bear arms :3

Modificato da that1german: 12/1/2015 12:49:41 PMAs it's our constitutional right to bare arms, I'm am of course for it. But I do believe that some firearms shouldn't be among the general population. When is anyone going to need a high capacity magazine for rifles or automatic weapons when the most they'll do with it is shoot tannerite in a watermelon? Pistols, shotguns, semi-autos, and hunting rifles I'm fine with, but beyond that I'm on the fence.

Modificato da TheCroatoan: 12/1/2015 12:11:02 PMIt's good and bad man... Like weapons are instruments for death and harming but we also use them to protect ourselves from death and harming.

10 RisposteModificato da Excarkun: 11/30/2015 3:02:53 PMIf this post is only for the American public we shouldn't be getting people from Britain or Australia or anywhere else posting on here. They don't live here no matter if they said it's been for a couple years or not, they can't vote here so they really should not have a any type of say. Especially the British, back when this country started it was the British government that tried taking guns away from the colonist public. That also help to ignite the revolution war with them. Lol Also I feel that those in other countries with gun laws with the public now well they own a gun. Or makes extremely hard to own one even the go hunting and are ashamed and ridiculed for even doing that, insane. But over all these people are now very comfortable in their governments control of guns and truly believe they are hundred percent protected from them. Also the government's and news media's do a good job of keeping any press of shootings to a minimum. That is key so the citizens of those countries feel safe, well safe from guns. Now that is manipulation...its always happeing fire media by the media. It sways public opinion that's just common social psychology, I personally find it amazing on how well it works. The first government to actually really use it to sway public opinion was the old Nazzi Germany now even know that was a evil regime the brilliance of swaying public opinion to do what they wanted was just genius. And to think that the Western world (our gov't s) didn't learn from that and don't utilize it to help control the populace is ignorant.

3 RisposteI think we can all agree that we need get guns out of the hands of people who intend to use them for their intended purpose. Unfortunately, we don't know who these people are until it's too late. So what do we do? Make guns harder obtain to keep them out of the hands of dangerous people? Or make guns more available as deterrence, potentially making it easier for dangerous people to get them?

1 RispondiI have bear arms. They're fluffy

After reading post after post to post it seems to be a common theme as we don't agree on the argument of the definition of criminal. Also how criminals /mass killers with guns get these guns. First the definition of criminal the way I understood it it's somebody that's unlawful doesn't care about the laws they break them at will. They do things unlawfully to get from point A to point B in their lives. Again definition of criminal and believe we lack a agreed-upon definition here. What I understand is the majority of you that want gun control and say it works in your country also believe that criminals in your said countries only way to get guns is the legal way, so when they do get one it a by legal means?? I would strongly disagree that ever happens, but that's just me. Now my concept is that criminals don't follow the law in obtaining things. I also understand that they don't get guns the legally way either. They buy them in the blackmarket the illegal market where they can't be tracked. The criminals can also get guns that the average citizen that follows the law are not allowed to buy. Granted they probably have to pay more money for them but they're out there and available you just need to know how to get to who is selling them. Now if some how the local authorities find out that you own one of these illegal guns. Well you're going to spend some time in jail and they're going to take it from you. But I just don't see criminals buying these weapons and just keep them as a collection, they're going to use them
-
1 RispondiThe problem lies not with the guns themselves but the American view of guns. It would appear the majority are too trigger happy.

1 RispondiModificato da unknownuserh: 11/29/2015 10:45:12 PMListing the reason for the 2nd amendment's existence would clear up a good chunk of the counter arguments

Until more recently than I'd like to admit, I thought it was right to bare arms, meaning you could wear a sleeveless shirt regardless of how fat/skinny/toned you are.. I am stupid

Modificato da Dolorous Sky: 11/30/2015 8:25:02 AMDude I completely agree with you, why can't I tear off some bear arms then immediately wear them?
