Bungie, Please Please Help us Non Raiders get over 300 light.

I have been a player since day one. Like A lot of people here Work full time and have two small boys and a wife to take care of. On any given Week I try to find time in the late evenings between 9:00 -11:00 pm two to four times a week. I typically try to play with one or two of the I have few Destiny friends I have. On a good night we have enough for a three man strike. I have found that Bungee seems to have made it extremely hard if not impossible for the people like me who can seldom reliably run the raid to break or reach the 300 light mark. In your last patch notes you indicate that we will all want to be at least light level 303 for the next Iron Banner in December. How would you recommend those of us who can not realistically raid to reliably reach above 300 light? I have tried everything including several raid attempts with pickup groups that routinely fall apart a few stages in. I noticed a few higher level armor pieces dropping in 305 range this Iron banner but They did little to get me up to 303 as the light level. Can we maybe think about some higher level light gear for the three man teams and solo players please?

Try doing trials. I suck at pvp with an average of less than 1.0. But you can manage to get to 5 wins fairly easy because of new matchmaking. Or just get gold package.

My friend is 305 light, he never touched the raid.

Iron banner drop 300+ weapons and armor, and u can play solo

3 Risposte308 warlock and a 302 Titan and I've never once done the raid. Exotics, nightfall or iron banner have given me plenty to raise above 300.

1 RispondiThey just did (Iron Banner.) Two of my characters had never done the raid and got enough gear and weapons form IB to get them both to 300. Granted I used most of the weapons I got as infusion fodder, but point is. IB got 2 characters to 300 in a week, my hunter took almost a month of doing the raid to get there....

Well they just had iron banner, and you do know that trials is happening right now?

Dude, I've never raided and have a look at my titan. Was 306 before IB, got 311 ghost and 315 greaves from tier 5 package, now 309.

Go on raid lfg and just do Golgoroth. It's the easiest part of the raid and drops raid arnour. It shouldn't take more than 30 mins when you're in there

Iron banner, trials and nightfall have given me gear above 300. Raid is still the fastest way to level up though.

A raid takes around 1.5 hrs max. Maybe 2 hrs if you die a lot of times. Still that is the WHOLE raid. It has checkpoints that can be finished at any time and any day before it resets on Tuesday. LFG nornally takes up to half an hour to find a team but its 3 of you so should be even quicker with a bit of luck. You can easily do 1/3 of the raid minimum in the time you have to play Destiny each time. Guess what, you will get 300+ gear drops about 65% of the time while the rest will be moldering shards. This is still 100% better drop rate and profit return on time you invest when compared to running a strike with a strike loot drop boost. So i see no logic behind posts like these. Apart from that, you do have the pvp side of things e.g. trials and banner dropping 300+ gear. Also Nightfalls now drop 300+ gear.

Raid you can lfg and drop in and out of checkpoints if you can't commit to the whole thing in one sitting Trials you can lfg for a group looking to just do bounties, which can drop 300+ items, gold tier can be complete in a couple of hours

2 RisposteWhy would you even care. There's no advantage at all to being over 300 if you never want to do any activity with enemys over 300...... (raid) If you are only going to ever want to do low level stuff, you are already doing max damage.

I do feel bad that you can't play more. But I feel like hitting 310+ should be a thing without running trials of Osiris or kings fall. End game level and gear should be exclusive to end game activity's.

Bungie understand this that's why they give us Iron banner gear at higher light - and you are now 304 so can farm 3 of coins to get a bit higher still.

You've probably heard this a few times by now but it's totally possible to get 300+ light without ever doing a raid. I have a turns who got to 304 without ever touching kings fall. He got to 295 by grinding strikes, then got the iron banner ghost, artifact, and boots. Then he ran trials with me a couple weeks and got some more nice gear. Once he got over 300 he started getting 310 exotics which he used to infuse and it bumped him all the way up to 304. It's definitely hard though and I have mad respect for him.

The raids are the most enjoyable activities on Destiny - I have friends who play destiny but we can never get together to do a raid - so have been lfg'ing raids since the beginning. Made lots of new friends this way not to mention lots of fun along the way. Occasionally you run into some idiots - but it only takes a couple of minutes to find a new group. Also lfg trials groups with the new bounty system its fun and you get rewards even if you lose miserably just look for a casual crew who also only want to do the bounties and have fun- my first silver tier package gave me a 320 obsidian mind on my warlock. The new Iron banner is better than you think.....got a 319 ghost shell, 310 chest, 310 artifact last time and other neat gear. I work full time and have 2 young children - luckily they sleep more than I do and I get some free time to play.....my gt is the same and Im on xbone add me and well start a raid group......Ill happily show you the ropes.....soon well have you raiding " in the late evenings between 9:00 -11:00 pm two to four times a week" :)

4 RisposteI have to agree with you. Bungie is very wrong for doing this. It seems in order to progress to 300 or higher you have to do raids and pve in order to reach 300 or above. There are many casual gamers out there who like this game and have the same problem. I have done the Iron Banner and the only raid I did was VOG on normal. I really dispise raids, mainly because I am near 50 years old and just don't have the patience. In all the years in gaming I have never seen a game with a level system like Destiny's. Borderlands 2 is much like Destiny as far as the loot and leveling up,and perks. But with BL2 you can level a character to 72 ( with add on content ). Guess people at Bungie don't really care about people who just want to run single or 3 man teams. But I will still play Destiny mainly because it's a great stress relief for me. But I will remember the next time Bungie releases a game to be wary of it before I pluck down the money for it.

I haven't raided on my Xbox Hunter and he's at 307 light.

People don't seem to understand that this game isn't about one thing or the other, pvp vs pve... It's about both. You can't just do one and expect to get the best gear in the game.

7 RisposteNext Iron Banner, get two rubber bands. Tie the control sticks together, tie the right trigger down, and go take a nap. After about 5 hours check your guardian, you should have a bunch of 300+ gear from rewards! At least that's how I think it works. Lol

Why is it really necessary if you will never do endgame stuff? That's what higher light levels are for afterall...
