IS it me or do the forums make Destiny look bad?
Title says it all. Then when I actually play the game, its fine

Forum is the vocal minority. It seems like everyone hates Destiny because typically what people voice are grievances. When people are contented they don't usually feel the need to tell everyone they are. People complain up and down about what weapon is killing them but no one stops to say, "Hey, I like my Sparrow".

I barely bother with pve anymore. I feel like bungie catered too much to pvp with all the weapon nerfs and buffs and it kind of suashes the pve element. I do the raid, once a week now. And just stick with crucible. A year ago it was the opposite to me. They listened to the wrong kind of fans. The ones who would rather play a call of duty kind of game instead of the incredible experience destiny could have been.

The first part of your statement is correct, but the second part is not (for me, anyway). Maybe 1 out of 5 players I run with are okay; 2 more leave no impression; and the last 2 I would punch in the face if I met them on the street. But I don't think it's anything about Destiny in particular. More like Gabe's Greater Internet Fuc*wad Theory at play.

The forums are full of trolls who barely play the game anymore because they're control freaks and everyone has to be like them.

Well to be honest, I like the game, I enjoy playing. The forums are always going to make the game look bad. The only problem is some of the people are right. Not everything is right, but some is, and it isn't getting fixed. The communication between the games devs and the player base also isn't great. I understand you can't be on the forums constantly, but if there was a plan and communication, the community would have a general idea of the idea for this game. Since there really is no communication, I think people are seeing what is happening after they bought the game, and how the company uses smoke and mirrors tactics to persuade you to purchase content. Then they change things they didn't tell you about, and you find out after you purchased the content. Then they tell you sorry for not being clear in the beginning. That would be ok if it only happened once. Now there are so many problems and flaws that have come and gone, and then came back again. They patch things every four months for balance as they said, but at the same time they talk about how they want each weapon to have its season. They never come flat out and tell us what is going on. This is my oppinion, and like I said I still enjoy playing this game, but I'm not upset with the forums, that is what they are there for.

I've always said, the people I meet in game are all nice and polite and willing to help, the forums are aids monkeys who escaped an African university study group.

Any game forum makes that particular game, and most of the time gamers, too, look bad.

Yup. Fun game to play with an official forum that is guaranteed to put new players off and depress existing guardians. I'd have an age limit on forum access and possibly an IQ test.
