It's not the American way to not let them in. But at the same time we can't let them in w/o background checks.
Hate to say it, but we should put them in like reservations and once they prove themselves worthy to be accepted into American society, let them in. Bam. Solved.

That's what we're already doing. A vetting process is currently in place, and it takes at least a year and a half, except in special circumstances (medical necessity).
