(Posted this in another thread, but figured I'd make it it's own topic)
The problem with Sunbreakers and why they appear to be so overpowered is everyone running from them.
Of course it's OP when your back is to it.
Here's how to beat Sunbreaker when playing with a team (easier with fireteam, but totally doable with randoms, if they don't get scared and run)
1. Hear Sunbreaker
2. DON'T RUN
3. Space yourselves out a bit (you should be doing this anyway)
4. FOCUS FIRE (sniper rifles are great for this, but primaries work too)
5. Win
Pay close attention to #2 and #4, they are in caps because they are the most important!
Also, for those who will no doubt say I don't have the experience, this is my new alt character, I've been here since the alpha.

Well focus firing is kind of hard when the titan keeps regenerating health.
-
This is dumb
-
Tether or novabomb. Problem solved
-
I run so you can waste your super its called bieng smart fagget bitch move but smart. The smartest always win. Maybe you shouldn't activate your super so far away then maybe you would get a chance to hit em before they run
-
Nothing you said made me not want to run.
-
I just jump around and make them waste their hammers on me.
-
I never run. Always get the sniper ready and hope my team has my back too. Of course they don't cause they all run away so I look like an idiot and die.
-
Yes, space out in an enclosed space. And see, we run so that we can shoot. Most guardians activate supers mid air or behind a corner and come out guns (or hammers) blazing. All they need is a sight on you, and the homing-hammers land anywhere near you and you're dead.

1 RispondiGet up on us lawbreakers its a nice surprise we don't expect and melee us to death. Not too hard, I do it to lawbreakers all the time.

Modificato da Phantom: 11/18/2015 4:53:00 PMI traded with one in IB using black spindle. And killed by me in trials with defiance of Yasmin and a throwing knife

It's true. I run Titan and people who can focus fire roast me

This isn't some fool-proof system..of course they can be focus fired down. This requires 2+ teammates to be close to each other & able to communicate. Solo players can't use this strategy. & it requires, ultimately, for the Sunbreaker to be garbage. It's just too risky to do this..if he gets one of you, the whole attempt is over & you gave him a multikill. That's the issue. Of course, a Sunbreaker can be killed. The issue is how hard it is to kill one.. In Trials there's literally no other super that makes you feel like there's no hope for that round if he catches you...& on maps like Exodus Blue + Firebase Delphi....it's VERY hard not to get caught... I've always thought Sunbreakers were OP, even said way back w. The E3 reveals...but, I never really considered to be super problematic until Trials on a smaller map. It's bullshit. That super makes wins by itself it seems like... but this is mostly just opinions. Opinions Titan mains won't care about, & opinions people commonly mistake for salt / tears. Can't disagree w. Someone on the forums without being "salty" or "crying". It's a shame, no debates. Just arguments. My opinion, is just that, an opinion...people can disagree w. It. I'm not stupid or salty because of it, nor is anyone who disagrees w. It. I just feel some tweaks need to be made for Sunbreaker. Cus they've got a good neutral game (people are just in denial of that...2 OHK grenades + arguably best melee abilities), & I hate seeing subclasses get nerfed into the ground. (Bladedancer......) They just need to be able to be KILLED...consistently... People obviously realized in Vanilla that a roaming super w. OHK attack would be super lethal...hence they gave GG no damage reduction, & 3 shots... So why on Earth they'd give a subclass like Sunbreakers the most damage reduction of any super in the game, is beyond me. Roaming super, that lasts 9 seconds longer than any other. massive AoE damage. Proximity detonations. Instant health regen on kills. 7 attacks. Capable of OHK every other super...Tracking...& the best of all, 56% damage reduction... Which is more than a Radiant Skin Sunsinger, or an Unstoppable Striker mid-FoH... It blows my mind. It really blows my mind. It's just, god tier.

3 RisposteI always destroy any hos with Nova bomb. Titian get over confident and they become food to my Nova bomb and I love them in that bubble is like shooting fish in a barrel
-
Or you run, he loses the Super, entire team turns around and tears his asshole. Profit.
-
If I'm in a wide open space with a HoS coming at me I usually just jump around and play leapfrog with them. If I die, they typically use up all of their hammers in the process. If I don't die, they do.

Modificato da TrulyDontCare: 11/18/2015 4:28:11 PMI agree. They really don't bother me as much anymore. I killed one last night, who had full health and even regenerated his entire shield at one point, with nothing but Nirwen's.
and then I daannnnced
1 Rispondi## New tip just in ### Everyone on your fireteam MUST have ER55 with luck in chamber. When you hear hammer, switch snipers and fire em like a thunderlord.
-
I always say the same thing.........

3 RisposteModificato da ecruz26: 11/18/2015 4:24:24 PMHow is spacing yourself gonna do any good? He's got more than enough hammers to deal with it. Then each time he kills one that's one less person doing DPS while he gets a full regen
-
Well if people shoot at them and they get one kill, then they are back at full health and armor in seconds and then they kill everyone else. (This is what I have observed)
-
2 RisposteIf you need to come up with a raid strategy to take down 1 player that us lower light than you there is something wrong. In Trials, if someone pops their hammers, the round is over.
-
Thank you! Finally someone else gets it!
-
3 RisposteNo. They are OP. You can make strategies to ensure a better outcome when dealing with them, which is definitely a good idea, but that super is op.
-
3 RisposteHere are the effective ways to kill HoS that I have seen Nova Bomb Fist of Havoc Golden Gun (when armor isnt maxed with solar armor perk) Apparently Black Spindle with a head shot Sleep Stimulant Stormtrace + ionic blink Focus Fire (though highly unlikely because if he kills just one all his health comes back)
-
Yesterday I got invited to a fireteam on IB...one of the guys said if you "hear" a titan pop his super everyone kill themself and let the count down revive you automatically. he said by the time you come back the super will be gone. He said something about the other team getting less points. People on my team was doing it. It was actually working. I think only one person died in 2 hours of game play from a sol of hammers.
