Can the Nightstalker's super be just a bit faster?
First of, hi there. I'm new to the forums and to the game itself, therefore I'm already expecting a lot of hate due to my grimoire score, light rank or whatever the hell l33t MLG pros will come up with.
Nevertheless, back to the main topic. I love the Nightstalker. Its looks, its feel, the theme, the kit, everything. Although, I feel that his super should get rid of the pointless delays entirely. Cast time + travel time + time until actual suppression and tether adds up to quite a lot of time for something so easily missable. Why not reduce it a bit? Make the suppression and the tether activate the second they hit the target, and reduce the travel time a bit. It's an arrow powered by a supernatural force after all, it only makes sense that it travels at least a tiny bit faster than a paper aeroplane.
Just my two cents, state your opinions on this.

No. I already feel like Nightstalkers will be a little OP once Sunbreakers are nerfed. Quiver makes them one of the best classes in PvP. They get their super faster than the offensive supers and have the ability to shut down a super. Their class is really well built.

7 RisposteStage one: draw the bow (much like any other super's priming phase). Stage two: release and watch it fly to target (it's an arrow, not a bullet). Stage three: initial impact (begins charge as you would expect from a plasma grenade). Stage four: tethers instantly reach out to nearby targets. All of this within a few seconds. Seems pretty balanced in terms of time as it is; it's a support ability, not a nova bomb.

It shouldn't be instant but a few millisecond buff couldn't hurt.

Yea, this is something I've been upset with. The main point of the nightstalker's super is to suppress enemies. Considering that a sunbreaker can destroy the tether before it even attaches to him is dumb. It needs to be instant. I would even be ok if they kept it how it was, but when it is a direct hit on a guardian with a super active, it instantly suppresses them.

2 RisposteNo. Nova bomb is slow, self rez is slow and can be sniped, fist of havoc is slow. Each class has at least one slow operating super that can be neutralized.

It's a bit bullshit that a titan can throw a hammer and kill BOTH of us while the tether lands on the ground, stretches it's muscles, takes a drink and a piss, goes to the tower to decode its engrams, goes to orbit, gets weaseled, reloads Destiny and THEN decides to activate.

The travel time is fine but the time between the anchor landing and the tethers deploying is ridiculous.

Lol 3x got tethered on my Titan yesterday using hammers and all 3 times got 2 kills before it kicked in. Tether is a joke

I love being a nightstalker, but I don't think it needs to be faster. It would be nice, but beyond the first week and me occasionally floating into walls, I have not had many mechanical issues. I think it's fine personally

5 RisposteWe were doing Kings Fall Hard Mode. We, being level 310's, blew through the raid. We were in a time crunch. Only 2 hours to complete it and XxboyXxkillaXxx had wasted 45 minutes on the jumping puzzle. We blew through Warpriest and Gogoroth. 30 minutes. Once again XxboyXxkillaXxx refused to switch from blink and wasted 20 minutes on the second jumping puzzle. We destroy the sisters in 5 minutes, the 6 of us pumping into Oyrx's Daughters. We have 20 minutes to kill Oyrx. We wipe twice, both times because of XxboyXxkillaXxx refusing to kill the ogres, claiming he is a pacifist. 10 minutes left. We do considerable damage to Oyrx in the first 3 rounds considering XxboyXxkillaXxx jumped off the side in the beginning shouting random Bill Nye quotes. Fourth round. I grab the relic easily. One guy dies by jumping into the ship. Another from the Vessel. 3 people left. We stagger Oyrx, but they don't make it to the blights. It is just me. I do barely just enough damage to Oyrx to bring him to the front. I accidentally reload my ToM, and run out of bullets killing an Aycolyte. I don't have time to use a primary synth. I put my last 3 sniper shots into Oyrx but it isn't enough. I can't use my sword. I am doomed. Oyrx chuckles. Ready to end my life. BUT WHAT IS THIS?! IN THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE SCREEN! *Shesmynerd has joined the fireteam*. I see him rise above Oyrx. Cast in a veil of light. "Feel my wrath! For my name is Shesmyne... HE SHOT ME THROUGH A WALL!" *Guardian Down" Crap. Oyrx chuckles again. Tbaggs Shesmynerd and messages him, "Git gud skrub". BUT WHAT IS THIS! HOPE! *Smoggypluto has joined the fireteam* I hear the thud of a Sunbreaker super being used. He appears in a silhouette of light. The light slowly dies away and I see him. Smoggypluto. "I am not worthy", I cry. He looks at Oyrx. He opens his mouth but Morgan Freeman's voice comes out. "This is my swamp". He lifts up his Y10 Gjallihorn and kills Oyrx in one shot, while simultaneously Tbagging Shesmynerd's ghost. We all get our rewards. All 330 Light, except for XxboyXxkillaXxx, he gets shards. I didn't see mine. I sniffle and ask Smoggy what I got. "Check you're inventory." I completely missed Smoggy's misspelling of "your". I inspect myself and ghasp. Primary equiped: Y2 Thorn. Pre nerf. Chestpiece: Twilight Garrison. Secondary: Better Than Yours, exotic sniper. Heavy. I choke back tears. I must be strong for Smoggy. His Y10 Gjallahorn. Signed by Bill Nye, the Science guy. "Smoggy is love. Smoggy is life." I stammer. He hops on Xylar, The Timeless. "Black Ops 3 is going to kill Destiny", XxboyXxkillaXxx remarks. "Shut up Meg", Smoggy says. He winks at me and flies away to help others in need. "Smoggy is love. Smoggy is life." I repeat. The sound of Shesmynerd crying faintly in the background.

2 RisposteIt's fine. Use it from a distance. It's a very powerful super in trials. It shuts down sunbreaker with ease. If sunbreaker all ready have u in his sights and tosses a hammer as u pop it and u die, that's your fault.

Agree that it needs to suppress faster. But other than that it's very fast and fine the way it is.

2 RisposteHaha exactly the reason i never use that class in pvp and also the reason its my favorite super to go against. Its SOOO easy to bust out of shadowshot and kill the hunter. Also easy to kill the hunter BEFORE youre actually tethered. There has been sooooo many times when i have popped my bladedancer, and a shadowshot hunter flys up in the air, shoots the arrow and is dead before he hits the ground and before i get tethered. I also experienced popping my super, getting hit with shadowshot and dying, only to res with my super full again. Its not effective at shutting down supers. How can it be when i can kill the hunter before im tethered like half the time?

2 RisposteJust shoot it at the floor. In crucible you cancel supers and make us blind with it kill us with it and you want it to be faster. Just no. I hope this doesn't happen i would be fine if it didn't cancel your super or kill you it should leave you at red bar okay not like you cant one shot us from that point

I main a titan, and I agree! If you shoot the ground right beside me and I have enough time to get away something's wrong. The wind up, to the time of actually being tethered is slow. Doesn't really make sense why there is so much time... And stop shooting me(with the bow) if I'm throwing hammers like an idiot. It no kill me yo. Peace!
