There is no weapon blance in PVP any more. Pulse rifles kill from the longest distance with low range stats. Hand Cannons and auto rifle have about the same distance max damage as shotguns now days and its just not fun anymore. Does anyone else feel this way?
I am a day one player.

7 RisposteAcceptance. Destiny pvp requires a lot of it. You have to accept that you're going to die at times when there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes you turn a corner and eat a Nova Bomb. You also have to accept that people are going to use the cheapest dirtiest loadout they can come up with. You get two options. Either you join their level of cheap and pick up the most OP pulse rifle you can find, or you think really hard about how you are going to counter play their loadout. That's the one plus to a meta that is allowed to develop. You figure out whats good, and then you figure out what that good thing loses to. The counter play is usually harder to figure out. You have to think about your individual playstyle, and what weapons maximize that playstyle and will allow you to win those engagements. You probably won't be able to just pick whatever gun you want off the top of your head.

Pulse rifles are the new crutch.
-
Lag is the best gun in pvp. People figured out run pvp on mcdonalds wifi and win. Handcannons dont hit as often, kind of like there is a cooldown on their bullets landing because of the spread patterns
-
Pulses have been the same since update 1.1.1 back in February... Hell they even got an Impact nerf in 2.0.
-
-
I hate to say it, but the previous meta was more fun. Crucible lately feels stale...
-
Yeah, but that's the way it's going to be. I say, just buff hand cannon accuracy, auto rifle range, decrease fusion spread slightly, and see what happens. They always spend so much time play testing their changes in their sandbox, and release huge changes, which often change somethings too much and others not enough. What bungie needs to do is focus on a single gun type and figure out what needs to be fixed. For example, few people use hand cannons. Why? Because they have terrible accuracy, range, and most of your shots don't even hit the target. To fix this, should we reduce the accuracy of everything else, or increase hand cannon accuracy? Bungie needs this thought process when fixing all of their weapons

3 RisposteI'm a day 1 player. Change your playstyle to beat people using weapons you dislike. I've been playing area control nightstalker with a fusion rifle. I kill everything. Let them come to you.
-
3 RisposteHandcannons are in a really nice spot right now. They have easily 6 times the range of a shotgun and they kill in 3 shots. If you are operating in the correct range and can remain accurate when under fire they are extremely rewarding to use. ARs are still a little weird, but I am coming across more and more of them as people find ones that they like. I'm starting to see some names that I don't recognise killing me far too easily and am having to go window shopping with the vendors to figure out what the hell just killed me. For the people who can handle recoil they are beasts.

Did you use thorn last patch? Surely that didn't turn you away. What's the matter bby? You want your poison back?
-
4 RisposteWrong, PvP has turned me off destiny I think I'll just be a filthy casual till the next dlc, hopefully by then the cod mentality PvP fuktards will have left and this game and it can finally get back to PvE.....
-
Thorn days was far worse. How can you say that now when we just got out of one of the most unbalanced metas in all of modern FPS gaming.
-
2 RisposteHow can you complain? There isn't balance "anymore"??? Are you saying the crucible was balanced when everyone was using Thorn?
-
As long as you have a loadout for long and short distance encounters, it alls come down to you. Can't put yourself in a bad situation, miss shots, or not be aware of your radar/surroundings and blame whatever the current meta is. I think 2.0 is more balanced then before. Ive only been 2-shotted by hawkmoon and thats not really consistent. Before 2.0, you had to worry bout 2 shots from thorn, red death, messenger, hawkmoon, and the last word. Now it takes 3 bursts/shots 96% of the time to put an opponent down which is more then enough time to get to cover. Auto rifles are still not that good, gotta catch someone off guard or pray your opponent misses a shot or two. Handcannons are good in their respective range. They just require a bit more accuracy now.

Modificato da ccSPiTFiRΞ: 11/19/2015 6:42:39 AMMy guess is that PR's will get nerfed & HC's will be back in action in year 3.
I'm using SUROS PDX-41, Nirwen's Mercy, The Villainy, Hawksaw & Lyudmila-D in Crucible
-
I think... That destiny needs to stop merging stuff... I HATE getting the best weapon of its type, then five minutes later find it that bungie has nerfed it and it's COMPLETELY useless.
-
9 RisposteIdk I'm wrecking kids faces with the imago loop that's on my titan. Headshots hitting at 89.
-
PVP is filled with cheap tricks/shots in order to win. It always has been. So players are going to use whatever they can to gain an advantage. Currently pulse rifles are the better overall weapon choice for PVP. I've used them since day one and have not noticed much of any change. I haven't had to rethink my tactics. Currently, there isn't any super cheap weapons like thorn to be used anymore. It is basically the perfect weapon for the majority of maps ie mid range. I bet you'd see more scouts if the maps were more long range and more autos if they were more close quarters. All in all, players use the best setup to give them the best chance to win which currently is pulse rifles. In month or two, it will probably be something else.
-
If you're a day one player you would know that pvp has never once been balanced.
-
1 RispondiI feel the same. I'm not a fan of pulses. I do not want thorn back but auto rifles still suck.
-
1 RispondiIt's not the buff to pulse rifles, but the disproportionate nerfs to everything else.
-
Let me guess.... After enough of you complain about pulse rifles and it gets nerfed, your gonna start to complain that scout rifles need to be nerfed. Then your gonna say that the melee needs to be nerfed. Then we start the entire cycle all over again right?
-
1 RispondiPVP right now is as close to balance as we've had for a long time. There are still some issues to iron out but they're not massive. The overall problem with PVP in Destiny is the range stat is very important but there are very few ranged maps.
-
Shhh they will nerf the shit out of everything again
-
Pulse Rifles are OP. Check out the green Pulse Rifle on my Warlock. That's all I've been playing with, and I've gotten 2 sum of all tears with it lmao. Pulse Rifles just beat out every other primary and are super easy to use.
-
3 RisposteSo if they Nerf every weapon what would you come and want buffed?
