Its completely taking over lfg and the fireteams subreddit. Its such a bad strat. Why the -blam!- would you want to leave four ogres alive when you can just melt them with ToM and snipers? Because you can't kill a red health knight and two acolytes right after? Literally every person who approves of this garbage "strategy" is also garbage. I've seen enough to come to that conclusion. They struggle through the entire raid and soon as they get to Oryx they always say "we're not killing ogres, right?" Its so pathetic. I've quit four groups in a row because of these people. Oryx is such an easy boss fight but these scrubs make it so difficult. Its barely even a boss fight anyway. You stand on a platform, you kill an ogre, a knight, and two acolytes, stand in a ring that protects you from all damage, shoot a huge target that doesnt even move, then stand in a black ball for two seconds. The lack of skill in people that play this game just blows my mind.
From now on I'm kicking everyone who wants to do this "strategy" because you deserve it. Git gud scrubs.
Final edit: Every single one of you who approves of the no knight strat has bad stats lmfao...you guys are hilarious! You're just proving my point even more! Just a bunch of casuals that cant even beat a mission against an AI with set patterns that repeat over and over so you have to skip mechanics to make it easier for yourself...you couldnt beat it day one the normal way so you had to find a youtube tutorial to make it easier for yourself. Youre all garbage. I beat this shit on day one with an entire group under 310 so dont blame it on your own light level, blame it on your skill level! I cant wait until challenge mode comes out and youll all be left in the dust and will wait around until another cheese strat comes out on youtube.

basically how it goes-- "everyone that does no knight is garbage, it only makes the fight harder that I can't do it, get good people"
-
8 RisposteWhoever does the no knight strategy round of applause because I found it a lot harder than just doing it normally
-
1 RispondiIf your whole group is 310+, do yourself a favor and try the normal method. It's normal mode Oryx with 4 red knights, that's it. Just try the normal way once and you'll wonder why you ever did "no knight" in the first place.
-
1 RispondiI have never seen or had someone mention a strategy to me where ogres are not killed.

Keep crying

Go f yourself
-
Why would I want to do a stray that had potential to be more difficult
-
Stop wording about how other people play the game. When you pay for someone else's game then your opinion matters how they play. Make your own group.
-
See i have no problem with either of them, but I do not call out people if they are good or bad based on what strategy they prefer. That's wrong on your part. Now what you are right on spot is - usually people who call out for this strategy often ask how to do it because they have heard from forums that it's easier. With this strategy, if everyone is competent enough, it's super easy. But isn't that with any strategy. With your post, I feel you can carry your own weight. Maybe even share some from others, try to find similar people and you will be good. And remember, higher light can just be luck not skills (if you know what I mean).

Modificato da WhiteSun: 11/9/2015 4:14:08 PMThe no knight strategy is the most easiest thing. I have ever done . Just make sure you have a designated guy to call out the timing where everyone gets inside the blights . ( make it one of the dps guys on top for all its worth ) . And it makes everyone get on time and be able to coordinate . As long as they don't die . The fight if done correctly should go like this . Two dps people on top . Preferably Titans to alternate bubbles . Touch of malice to lower the ogres health to almost dead . Stagger oryx . Kill the ogres at the same time . And then aura carrier . Drop to the middle . Have one call out the timer going from 3...2....1.... Get in ! Get out !! . It will detonate the bombs . Do 25% damage to oryx and rinse and repeat until he starts teleporting . Switch from touch to a high damage scout rifle . So you don't die . Once the echo is death . Dps guys Switch from the scout to ToM . And repeat until he dies .

3 RisposteModificato da l MySterY l: 11/9/2015 2:31:54 PMIf you know the best way to do the no knight strat its easy as taking a shit. Ur probably the one trying to jump up and gets killed by An ogre lmao.
-
Done both ways and both equally difficult. Stfu is what i say
jelly people use more efficient strat ?
git gud

Go play fallout

1 RispondiIt's not a strategy, it's a strat.
-
I would agree that the no knight strategy is hard. I'm not sure about it being harder than killing everything because every fireteam I'm with runs this strategy and we get slaughtered everytime.
-
I complete my first hard mode by killing everything. Then again my raid group was filled with a bunch of filthy try hards( love my friends) who were all already 314+. The no knight method seems easier not having to fuss with all the Ads when most people don't actually want to play the game, they just want the rewards.
-
4 RisposteIf one completes the hard mode Oryx fight using the No Knight Strategy, according to you, this is the more difficult way, wouldn't that make them good?
-
Lol only 5 completions. What a scrub. Move on kid. "My team can't do the strat so everyone who can is bad" Lol get a better team and quit whining.
-
1 RispondiI remember a similar post about the 1 orb golgoroth strategy. The guy went on about how it was a cheese and all the 'scrubs' who used it would be in trouble when the hard mode came out. Thing is you don't know what challenge made is gonna be so you can't really tell people to just wait and see. Personally I've done both strategies and I much prefer no knights. Not because of me, I'm fine with both, but having to rely on randoms from lfg can just be infuriating and i just feel that no knights has less moving parts for people to mess up.
-
Completed my first hard mode Raid this Weekend. Having Floaters burn Ogres, and Platformers handle their own knights is the way to go. Two shots, and then nothing to worry about. The biggest issue we faced was when the Vessel decided to be a Pain and run straight at a Bomb, instead of responding to our Aggro.
-
some people lol sorry if there is different mechanics for a reason duh
-
2 RisposteI only do the no knight strategy, why not utilize the easiest and most efficient way to complete something ? I'm no scrub either
-
3 RisposteI agree. The no knight strategy is for the scrubs that can't snipe. Kill ogre. Snipe the knight. It is that simple.
