Bungie, Your Game Is Worthless Again Already
If you're of any skill worthy bracket, you've at least attempted the hard raid. Let me shed some [i]Light[/i] on the problems here.
First off, anyone who didn't buy content lost 70% of their game. Not moving forward is one thing, but actually losing content is another.
Secondly, for those like myself who did buy TTK, everything you'd worked for the past year became [b]instantly[/b] irrelevant. 1000+ hours gone in one update. At that rate, they should have just released Destiny 2 and started us over.
[u]And to the main course:[/u]
After Light 310, nothing in this game matters and everything becomes worthless. From the top:
-Vault of Glass: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Crota's End: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Vendors: Worthless after 300 TBH
-Crucible Playlists: Worthless after 300
-Vanguard Strikes: Worthless after 300
-Weekly Heroic Strikes: Worthless
-Buffed Nightfall: Worthless after 310
-Court of Oryx: Worthless after 300
-Iron Banner: Worthless after 290 (lol)
-Normal Kings Fall: Worthless after Hard Raid Release
-Moldering Shards: Enough Said
-Trials of Osiris: Only worth it if you go Flawless. Still Lackluster Rewards
-Xur: Worthless after 310 mainly due to lack of 320 drop chances
-Halloween Masks: Worthless. Should have allowed Infusion starting at zero light. Or used a Vanity Slot like in Terraria.
-Hard Mode Kings Fall: Worthless. The only point of doing the HM Raid is so you hopefully get gear to make next weeks HM Raid more bearable.
This game dies the second you hit 310.
[b]Oh, and here's some food for thought![/b]
[spoiler]After killing Atheon there are still Vex. After killing Crota there are still hive. After killing Skolas there are still Wolves. Not once do you get thanked by anyone from the tower for beating any one of these bosses. You beat Crota, here's a box of raisins Guardian.
There's no progression at all. The actual game never moves forward.
Proof: Long after Atheons been dead, Bungie literally tells us to go Kill Atheon, who's been dead by the way, for the No Time To Explain.
This literally proves that we've made no progress against the darkness, vex, hive, or fallen. In one year, we haven't actually done anything to save the Earth. GG Bungie, way to drop the ball.[/spoiler]
Also,
The Queen dies literally right after you save her from the Wolves. What in the actual hell. Like, here's a DLC to save the queen just so you can pay 40$s to watch her die anyways.
[b][i][u]TLDR Edition:
After 310, all other events and activities become lackluster and pointless.
Infusions just a chore.
No progression or sense of winning the war against the Darkness.[/u][/i][/b]

2 RisposteJust for the first point you fit to keep making money otherwise publishers will drop you like a hot cake. $40 worth of content much more crappie than you can shake a spoon at shoot it's so much my second character is only half way through the story . The neglect is real, it's not fair the way it was done buy you gotta support the game or lose out that's the nature of mmo like games. Would you rather pay 7 bucks a month ?

Looks like I'll only be on at reset for a chance at higher gear which undoubtedly will turn into 3 buttcapes and a low ghost shell I netted last week. Like if your sick of the ugly titan buttcapes

1 RispondiYou make a good point, but I think running out of things to do after you do everything is true for almost all games. :P Though I really wish there was, like, a party of some sort for defeating Oryx. That would've been a nice way to "end" the story.

Well, theoretically, from a lore perspective, Atheon can never truly be destroyed because he and the Vault of Glass aren't really bound to any set past, present, or future. Hence the "lost forever in the dark corners of time" tagline whenever you wipe. The Vault and everything in it exist in every time period so just because we killed Atheon in our time period doesn't mean he's gone. It's a bunch of crazy, theoretical, time paradox techno-babble that could go in so many different directions that it's impossible to assume that Atheon is ever truly dead. Because he never really is dead. He's just not there sometimes. [spoiler]But hey, that's just a theory. A GAAAAAME THEORY.[/spoiler] Everything else in the post is about spot on though. Fortunately I haven't reached 310 yet so...yeah.

I agree with most of your comments, but I have to ask, whats the point in any video game? It's all about playing for enjoyment, if you no longer enjoy it stop playing and move on. I'll probably have a break from it for need for speed, but I'll be back, it's the one game I always come back to

If they updated all of their endgame content the replay-ability would be far better... It is so far beyond me to why you wouldn't use something like the other two raid to provide meaningful content to the endgame players (basically everyone after playing for a week)..

4 RisposteWhat really grinds my gears is that after every dlc, all your time and effort put in previously is nothing. All your weapons are useless, your gear, useless, etc. Just to make you grind to get material to level up your equipment that was PREVIOUSLY maxed out again. They wipe away all your hard work with every dlc release. They need to find a different way to give more content than forcing you to re level with every dlc. Honestly, this game is like crack, you know it's bad for you but YOU JUST CAN'T STOP!

6 RisposteOk, with this logic, i will use this in one of the highest rated games in history, skyrim. Now in the main story for this game, you are a rebel to the superior government of the land, where the game takes place, aftr a dragon attacks the city you were going to be executed in, you then learn that you are technically related to dragons and that you have the power to use dragon "shouts" to kill people and other dragons. *blah blah blah* moving past stuff noone really cares about* the main thing that you must do is to kill the sort of dragon king ,alduin, and when you kill him, everything goes bak to normal, well let me tell you, ive killed him plenty of times and while in free roam, working on side quest and what not, ive seen and killed over 1000 dragons after defeating the almighty alduin. Do you know this is? Its because the game just cant end when theres more to it. If skyrim or eestiny happened the way you want it to happen, then you wouldnt be able to finish wat you wanted to do because there would be no reason to. And btw, i still love doing bog or crota because its fun. And there is a reason to interact with wverything you have just listed. Here are some things that are very useful that you say are not: Vanguard: 1000 yard stare The questing beast Crucible: Havoc pigeon Toa hung watever the **** it is sniper The next big thing Vault of glass: To up your grimoire if you havent finished completions yet To get the vex mythoclast if you never got it Crotas end: Eris morn reputation for runes and good class items (i got a 298 mark when i was only 278 with my titan) Getting the nechrochasm if you havent aready (i still dont have and ive completed it 50+ on hard)Normal oryx:I still have no boots for any of my characters that are 305+ and i can still be 310+ if i have my good guns onHard oryx: Cmon isnt it obviousI am a year one player with 1500 hours + and i still love destiny. Hell im gay for it. Everything is still extremely useful even if youre 320 and above

1 RispondiInfusion is a chore, but the bonus is that you don't HAVE to wear Raid gear to get to max Light. So none of the stuff you listed is inhereently useless. It' s just useless unless you Raid to raise it's Light.
