Bungie, Your Game Is Worthless Again Already
If you're of any skill worthy bracket, you've at least attempted the hard raid. Let me shed some [i]Light[/i] on the problems here.
First off, anyone who didn't buy content lost 70% of their game. Not moving forward is one thing, but actually losing content is another.
Secondly, for those like myself who did buy TTK, everything you'd worked for the past year became [b]instantly[/b] irrelevant. 1000+ hours gone in one update. At that rate, they should have just released Destiny 2 and started us over.
[u]And to the main course:[/u]
After Light 310, nothing in this game matters and everything becomes worthless. From the top:
-Vault of Glass: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Crota's End: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Vendors: Worthless after 300 TBH
-Crucible Playlists: Worthless after 300
-Vanguard Strikes: Worthless after 300
-Weekly Heroic Strikes: Worthless
-Buffed Nightfall: Worthless after 310
-Court of Oryx: Worthless after 300
-Iron Banner: Worthless after 290 (lol)
-Normal Kings Fall: Worthless after Hard Raid Release
-Moldering Shards: Enough Said
-Trials of Osiris: Only worth it if you go Flawless. Still Lackluster Rewards
-Xur: Worthless after 310 mainly due to lack of 320 drop chances
-Halloween Masks: Worthless. Should have allowed Infusion starting at zero light. Or used a Vanity Slot like in Terraria.
-Hard Mode Kings Fall: Worthless. The only point of doing the HM Raid is so you hopefully get gear to make next weeks HM Raid more bearable.
This game dies the second you hit 310.
[b]Oh, and here's some food for thought![/b]
[spoiler]After killing Atheon there are still Vex. After killing Crota there are still hive. After killing Skolas there are still Wolves. Not once do you get thanked by anyone from the tower for beating any one of these bosses. You beat Crota, here's a box of raisins Guardian.
There's no progression at all. The actual game never moves forward.
Proof: Long after Atheons been dead, Bungie literally tells us to go Kill Atheon, who's been dead by the way, for the No Time To Explain.
This literally proves that we've made no progress against the darkness, vex, hive, or fallen. In one year, we haven't actually done anything to save the Earth. GG Bungie, way to drop the ball.[/spoiler]
Also,
The Queen dies literally right after you save her from the Wolves. What in the actual hell. Like, here's a DLC to save the queen just so you can pay 40$s to watch her die anyways.

After 310, all other events and activities become lackluster and pointless.
Infusions just a chore.
No progression or sense of winning the war against the Darkness.[/u][/i][/b]

You played all their content and you are complaining you've done it all, and are disappointed in THEM for YOU having done it all faster than you should have allowed yourself. You are valid in what they sectioned off in TTK, but not valid in saying that after essentially being at max level, you've got nothing to do to make progress. All games have a ceiling, and you've reached it, essentially. You've aaaallmmost maxed your grimiore, so i see no point or reason for you to complain that there is nothing to do when you've done everything save for the challenge modes and we've no specific date of when that is. TL:DR dude is complaining hes got nothing to do after hes literally done everything this game has to offer him atm , evidence being his grimiore, and is dissapointed in bungie when he should be dissapointed in himself for bonfiring destiny content.

2 RisposteThis year I felt something in me that made me question my enjoyment of Destiny, as well as the first time I just didn't want to play. I looked back on Y1, I was NEVER motivated by level, I was motivated to get rare guns. I ran VOG 40+ times to get a mytho, I ran CE and VOG many more in hopes of getting a Ghorn and Hawkmoon. Looking back, having the weapons as RNG drop was such a valuable thing because it forced me to keep playing, and it forced me to look forward to every drop. It's also the fact that most Y2 exotics are pretty mediocre. I noticed that I'm not even excited for an exotic drop: all the RNG weapons are sub par compared to last year, and the only amazing drops are just increased light from this year. I understand the fear of powerhouse guns. But for the love of all that is beautiful make me consider using an exotic! The quest exotics are no better, it's a long, boring process to get a gun that'll take backseat to my stillpiercer and Not Like the Others.

I saw a man complete jet set willy in 45 minutes. Yet I could spend the rest of my life practicing and never do that. Not sure how relevant this is but it happened.

1 RispondiI read your entire post, why? Im not really sure yet, ive seen plenty like these, your only valid points to me were the previous raids being obsolete, everything else didnt make sense. Like all the other posts im just left with the question of why instead of these posts and replies do you all not just quit. Its easier than doing this, isnt it?

3 RisposteYes OP imagine the game without anything to kill because you killed everything. Yes OP I want to go through the tower being thanked by barely intelligent AI and flex my "E" penis. Although I do agree with 290+ old raid content. All MMORPG make their prior expansion loot worthless FYI.

3 RisposteDisagree with this... Best progression meta to date by FAR. cool stuff drops and I have material to bring it up to par... Every week I'm rewarded in some way that is well worth my time. My expectations might be lower but in all honesty I really feel like people just have the wrong attitude going in... OP included. Literally EVERYTHING has potential worth BEYOND the material drops from breaking it down. The problem is this mad rush to 320 mentality of the player base.

1 RispondiPurchased TTK and absolutely loved it out of the gates. Grinded the missions/strikes/CoO with a few friends to get to 290+ so we could complete the raid, grouped up with some people who hadn't done the raid before, and went into it completely blind. We finally beat King's Fall and it was such an amazing feeling, but afterwards we were quickly hit with the "What do we do now?" Tried running the raid the following weekend, but I doubled up on boots/gloves all at 300 light and it completely removed any motivation for the game. You grind the normal raid for several weeks, so you can attempt the exact same raid on a harder difficulty (with a few minor changes in mechanics). All other content becomes worthless at this point except for the idea of going Flawless, but Halo 5 offers a more balanced, competitive game so why play Trials? If they drop a $20 DLC around the holidays, I might come back to check it out for a few weeks, but, as it stands now, I don't see myself playing much Destiny anymore.

18 RisposteUnfortunately, some gamers don't understand that this is an MMO. That's how they work. When you get a new expansion all the old items become worthless. Talk to any World of Warcraft gamer and they will know exactly how it feels. It keeps the game moving. I do understand the frustration, but MMO's are new to the console gamers.

2 RisposteI dont actually disagree with the OP. I'm 307 I don't really see anything I need to work towords. The game badly needs some kind of communty event. Like stock pile amour parts to help build the city a fleet. This would get people doing any and all content just for amour parts. If WoW tought me anything is server wide events are insanely popular and really help the communty sprit and get endgame players to keep playing

2 RisposteThey rushed because of the abundance of good games being released this fall. Halo 5 is out people thought it was going to be shit and the pvp is the best for the next gen so far. Then you have star was fall out 4 need for speed rainbow 6 the division beta. Like destiny is maybe 2 weeks away from being dropped by a mass majority of gamers. Ever wonder why they don't give us weekly updates stating how many "guardians" are logging in and playing?? No its because there's been a steady decline in players and myself as 1 since the release of these amazing games coming out that arnt as repetitive at all.
