Bungie, Your Game Is Worthless Again Already
If you're of any skill worthy bracket, you've at least attempted the hard raid. Let me shed some [i]Light[/i] on the problems here.
First off, anyone who didn't buy content lost 70% of their game. Not moving forward is one thing, but actually losing content is another.
Secondly, for those like myself who did buy TTK, everything you'd worked for the past year became [b]instantly[/b] irrelevant. 1000+ hours gone in one update. At that rate, they should have just released Destiny 2 and started us over.
[u]And to the main course:[/u]
After Light 310, nothing in this game matters and everything becomes worthless. From the top:
-Vault of Glass: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Crota's End: Worthless and needs 310 difficulty Heroic Mode
-Vendors: Worthless after 300 TBH
-Crucible Playlists: Worthless after 300
-Vanguard Strikes: Worthless after 300
-Weekly Heroic Strikes: Worthless
-Buffed Nightfall: Worthless after 310
-Court of Oryx: Worthless after 300
-Iron Banner: Worthless after 290 (lol)
-Normal Kings Fall: Worthless after Hard Raid Release
-Moldering Shards: Enough Said
-Trials of Osiris: Only worth it if you go Flawless. Still Lackluster Rewards
-Xur: Worthless after 310 mainly due to lack of 320 drop chances
-Halloween Masks: Worthless. Should have allowed Infusion starting at zero light. Or used a Vanity Slot like in Terraria.
-Hard Mode Kings Fall: Worthless. The only point of doing the HM Raid is so you hopefully get gear to make next weeks HM Raid more bearable.
This game dies the second you hit 310.
[b]Oh, and here's some food for thought![/b]
[spoiler]After killing Atheon there are still Vex. After killing Crota there are still hive. After killing Skolas there are still Wolves. Not once do you get thanked by anyone from the tower for beating any one of these bosses. You beat Crota, here's a box of raisins Guardian.
There's no progression at all. The actual game never moves forward.
Proof: Long after Atheons been dead, Bungie literally tells us to go Kill Atheon, who's been dead by the way, for the No Time To Explain.
This literally proves that we've made no progress against the darkness, vex, hive, or fallen. In one year, we haven't actually done anything to save the Earth. GG Bungie, way to drop the ball.[/spoiler]
Also,
The Queen dies literally right after you save her from the Wolves. What in the actual hell. Like, here's a DLC to save the queen just so you can pay 40$s to watch her die anyways.

After 310, all other events and activities become lackluster and pointless.
Infusions just a chore.
No progression or sense of winning the war against the Darkness.[/u][/i][/b]

Lol, why even bother with hard raid? The normal raid gives rubbish anyway, hard raid just gives rubbish painted black, sod that already have shaders to do that. Even before 300 you don't need to go higher unless you want to do hard raid for stuff that will probably drop at lower light than you got on normal, why the hell would you bother? No elemental primaries? I ain't got time for that. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? Oh yeah, asshat Smith, because he's just chock full of great ideas.

Lol Na but in all honesty you're spot on and I can feel where you're coming from. I finished oryx hard again the other night and got a 303 titan mark as my best drop , everything else was shards. Went back to tower and everybody asked about doing another ( 3rd of the week) , couldn't be arsed. What about nightfall? Again we couldn't be arsed. Daily heroics and such like? Yeah couldn't be arsed!! Loaded the game last night went to the Tower and honestly didn't know what I was doing there. Put it off moments later and took it out the console. Not sure if or when I'll put it back in.

3 RisposteI agree with everything you've said. I've played since Day One and this time around I've yet to go over 300 because I see the raid as useless. The reason in the past for raids was because of the unique elemental primaries and unique exotics that were OP and made you feel great. Now all the weapons look meh and the perks seem horrible. And with no elemental damage, what's the point. And even at my current light level, I can complete heroics and the Nightfall with ease. So I'd be doing the raid for a crappy chance at getting crappy armor that I'd infuse into my current armor to only get higher numbers that mean absolutely nothing except to the raid. Sad thing what happened. Bring back Fatebringer, Black Hammer, Gjallarhorn, Vex Mythoclast, etc. At least it gave us something to strive for and a reason to play. All the current exotics seem okay at best and more often than not, i see people running without exotics.

So most people seem to be frustrated at the lack of relevancy of the previous raids/rewards myself included. You might even say that your getting bored and need something fresh in the game. I have thought of a way which might keep the old gear relevant and allow us to have fun doing so. I don't think anyone has suggested this but if they have forgive me. What if, if you had ALL your VOG armor you could infuse them together to create one piece of maxed out armor for example a helmet. This helmet itself is only obtainable by having that full set of raid armor from VOG. Now if you have ALL of the crota armor you can infuse it together to create a new chest piece. Then a full collection of POE gear can give you gauntlets and full collection of Oryx gear (harrowed) can give you a pair of boots once all that armor is collected. In order to finish this infusion of armor you would need 3 relics which you obtain by completing each respective raid/activity(POE). You could also obtain this shard by trading in etheric light at a 5-1 ratio. This would keep the etheric light relevant as well. These new pieces of gear are all legendary tier, they are maxed light level and have a bad ass design. It would allow you to show off your collection and would create incentive to replay the old content and keep it relevant. The same could be said for the weapons but with their respective archetypes: example all the raid auto rifles can be infused for one new badass auto rifle. These primaries can also be elementals. What do you guys think?

Yeah I just skipped the raid completely this time around. It seems worse than forever 29. You dont even need to be 300 to do anything outside the raid anyways. Ive done it all except the raid and that stupid exotic hand cannon quest. Havent used a hand cannon since they nerfed them. Its gotten really bad this time around and I dont think Bungie can rebound from this one.

I like Destiny and played from the Alpha. But seeing how the game has evolved has been causing me great pain. (The number one cause is more than likely Activision...) I'll continue buying Destiny and everything, but when Destiny two comes out , despite all the fireworks and shiny gear and content, I may have to put my money down and walk away. :(

It's depressing, kinda. One of the few things keeping me hanging onto this game is the promise of better raid gear, but even that's dwindling because of the light level system, something I loved going into The Taken King. It just makes getting raid drops...lackluster, to be honest. There's nothing quite like the feeling of disappointment when you get a piece of raid gear, and see that it's defense is just so awful, that there's no point to using it compared to the gear you're currently using.

The game isn't worthless ...I work, go to the gym, take care of family, have a social life. So when I play I have and enjoy the various content. Good job Bungie, this game is the only one in my console these days.

Everything you said after "you lose content if you don't buy the expansions" is spot on accurate. But that first part... I mean you gotta buy the content in order to play it, that's just common sense. However you could argue that the content is not worth the amount paid and destiny in its current state is how it should of been originally released for $60.

1 RispondiOne problem with your post. The Queen isn't dead. Other than that, spot on. Made literally no sense to have to go kill Atheon for NTTE. There should have been a new quest entirely, where you infiltrate the Vault again and you have to rip Atheon's head off of his carcass after fighting an army of Vex trying to protect their dead god's body.

2 RisposteCrucible weekly bounties are really what I look forward to now. Finally got an eyasluna today with perks I can work with. Hard raid continues to -blam!- me so it barely feels like any progression is made from one week to the next outside of finding legendary gear that I like.
