Handcannons = ALWAYS at a disadvantage

I used to feel so good about using my handcannons. Now, they are too weak. There was no good reason to nerf them into oblivion. As they are: They have the worst ammo capacity, slowest reload, slowest fire rate, poor initial accuracy, very low ads zoom, smallest magazine size, ridiculously poor range and therefore terrible accuracy at anything but close quarters, often they also have pretty poor stability. In practice: - Shotguns will win in any close range. (I hate how the Conspiracy Theory will destroy me by the time or before I get a second shot off) - pulse, scout, and auto will all win at mid to long range. (Pulse completely dominate all, autos are mediocre but pump out the bullets, Scouts have faster reload, quick fire rates, and awesome stability, with MUCH better range/accuracy... There is literally no reason to use a handcannon.) I do think the Ace of Spades and Hawkmoon are solid. But the entire class of guns needs to be revived. I think nerfing Thorn and The Last Word was needed. But the changes should have stopped right there. I argue for a pre 2.0 return to glory for most handcannons. They are not fun now, and don't make you feel like you have agency in the game. Too often, shots go into thin air... or you are simply out matched by the power and range of everything else on the map. The theory that guided the decisions to alter the range and accuracy so drastically was flawed. The guns feel broken.
