EDIT : Lots of mixed opinions. Some people agree with Datto while others do not.
EDIT : Wow lots of replies. Datto came off a bit too harsh and could of been more polite.

[b][i][u]WAY TOO MANY[/u][/i][/b] warlocks rely on self res for the raid, it's the ONE AND ONLY time I've called anything a crutch because it's true. They slack when they play knowing they can come back. And for those saying "but a gud werrluk wud maek orbzzz wit self res!!!1!11!!" If that's what your goal is, why even use that subclass? StormCaller is made for add control, self res is not. All it is is a second chance for f[i]u[/i]cking up and trials.

They are not useless, but they are not as effective as a titan or hunter for their lack of an effective support class.

I like having a Stormcaller around. I don't have tons of raid experience (at least not with KF), but one of our clan mains a Warlock and the guy is ALWAYS clutch. I'd rather have a good player of ANY class with me than a mediocre one with the "right" perks/loadout/super.

Sounds like his group is kind of bleh if they have a hard time making it happen with more warlocks. Btw, my group beat his in the hard mode race (we were 24th) and we had at least 2 warlocks. http://www.destinychecklist.net/leaderboard

Kinda hard to play all three classes and never use the warlock. Guess Datto should learn to use all of the characters.

there needs to be a chart showing the number of deaths between all classes in the raid instead of assuming warlocks die more because of self res. id like to see facts before just stating something.

Having a stormcaller is good for adds on a few of the encounters. I also like having a self-revive warlock getting the brand on Oryx... if the gunship glitches or he dies somehow the self-revive can save the brand, and the attempt. One or two warlocks is good, any more and meh...

18 RisposteIf you need buffs to kill bosses you suck as a player. If you like to speed run bosses then your not playing the game to enjoy it. If you complain about it then you're just upset you got bad luck. I've been playing a warlock as main since I bought this game and not once has the warlock been as over powered as the hunter and titan. Nor have I ever needed or felt like I needed some kind of edge against any boss or player like infinite shadow shots. A good warlock build doesn't rely on one class but good use of them all. It's the build you can switch on the fly for any situation without changing your whole play style. Each Titan class has to be played differently as does the hunter class. Warlocks? Learn to Chuck grenades like a champ and you'll always be a threat no matter the sub-class.
