Things a lot of Christians need to stop doing.

As a practicing Catholic, I have some advice for my fellow Christians: *Stop treating your enemies with vitriol. Christ said love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. If somebody is transgender, love them. If somebody slanders you, pray for them. If somebody berates you, flogs you, tries to use your religion against you, love them anyway. *Stop conforming to society- There is a disturbing trend of so-called "Christians" compromising their beliefs because they are "outdated". They never will be outdated. What good is an open-mind if it opens itself to the seductions of evil? What good is "tolerance" when it enables damnation? Secular law will never trump God's law. Do not pretend that it does. Love your neighbor, but let them know when their actions are wrong. This will be seen as bigotry, this will be seen as homophobia, transphobia, etc. Christ said "If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first." *Don't deny the findings of science- God gave us these resources to use. To refuse to use them is folly. Science is not evil, nor is it moral. It is a tool, nothing more. But if the fruits of this tool can help others, use them. On the flipside.... *Don't turn science into a god- Science is a tool that we use to learn more about the physical universe. But it does not teach morality. Whatever evidence we may find, even if it seems to contradict Jesus' teachings, always go with Jesus' teachings. Even if it means telling people that their behaviors are wrong, no matter what chromosomes they may have. God made the universe, he knows everything and because of this, he knows more than we can ever know about what is good for us.
