Just a quick poll to see everyone's opinion on sun breakers and whether or not they deserve a nerf. Thanks for your time...Rev Out
Edit: Probably should have added an option to reduce the hammer explosion radius
-
Buff them and nerf stormcaller, prob what Bungie will do...
-
The class is trash the only good thing is the super.
-
Take out cauterize and give them 3-4 hammers max. Voila
-
This is what I think needs to happen: -Nerf base armor to 50% damage reduction to bring it in line with the base armor of all of the other supers -Make cauterize in the same column as Forgemaster. This would make you have to decide between the 2. You could pick between having a ton of hammers and having health regen. Correct me if I'm wrong but you get 4-5 hammers with forgemaster. Compare that to golden gun with 3 bullets and less than half the armor, no health regen, and less super time. Does that seem fair? -Slightly nerf proxy detonation and blast so that it's a bit harder to use. -Sunbreaker lasts like 20 seconds. Take the time down to 15 and drop 1 second of super for every hammer thrown. Now it's balanced IMO. Also running the other way or using your own super on another is NOT a reasonable counter. Every other roaming super can be one sniped out of theirs by a non exotic TTK sniper. Disclaimer: Don't call me a whining hunter because I'm not. Also I'm not a BK that never plays crucible my medal score is over 1M and my KD is 1.57.

There is no aggressiveness in the tracking of hammers at all lol

The issue for me is that sunbreaker are almost impossible to kill before he slams his hammer into you. Fist of havoc had the same issue in which when they activated it, it was too late to do anything in most situation, but it was one and done. Sun breaks could be better balanced for crucible by either one make the hammer super be like bladedancer where you lose time with your super drasticly like you would with with each use. Or decrease the damage reduction and health boost so its possible for a group to be able to down him before most of your team is waiting to spawn in again. Supers are meant to be powerful and as much as sun breaker is annoying in destiny that shouldnt mean it should be nerfed to uselessness. Just reduce the health and damaged reduction of the super, damage of the hammer is fine as like i said supers are meant to be powerful the one shot kill is fitting. Just dont have the titan become invincible where the only way to kill them is to have heavy of a powerful super like gunslinger or the nuke we call the nova bomb to have a trade kill

2 RisposteIt's fine

3 RisposteI would change how many people cry about it
-
Ok, tracking on the hammer is so minimal, if it actually does track you were going to die anyways
-
I main a titan and thank they should only have 3 hammers but have increased tracking.... golden gun only has 3 shots so why should we have a ton of hammers
-
Damage reduction

Modificato da Kirby235711: 11/1/2015 10:23:07 PMWeaker melting point Easier to aim suncharge Move agility boost from flameseeker to fleetfire Make cauterize not affect the super Change explosive pyre so instead it makes the last 6th of your primary's magazine have firefly (exotic is unchanged) Reduce damage reduction during super Decrease jump height and movement speed during super Make flameseeker cause grenades to shift their epicenter towards where there are more enemies Titan in general: Make catapult faster (almost as fast as shoulder charge)

Reduce movement speed and jumping hight

3 RisposteSpeaking as a Titan, this is was a hard question (mostly because we like what we have). But seeing all the uproar from hammers and how beast they are in pvp, there is obviously a problem. When we talk about taking away the Cautorize perk we also have to think how that would affect a Titan's effectiveness in PvE. If it was taken away entirely then I wouldn't see any Titan keeping Sunbreaker as their main subclass. Less hammer would solve the problem but then give warlocks the superior super because of its duration (unless you are a beafy Hunter man who has mastered the art of archery). Personally I voted for the health/shield reduction. Even just a little bit of a reduction would help level out the Titan (in my not-so-proffesional opinion). It would allow for a better way to counter them and hopefully filter out some more skilled Sunbreakers. With health reduction it would make Titans be a little smarter with their super useage and hopefully lead to better players and more wicked strategies for it then running head first into the fray like... well a Titan And as just a side-note, what do all of the Warlocks feel like seeing Hunters and Titans but heads like this? Personally I've always looked at it like a barfight between two patrons and the Warlock is sitting in the back reading a book and shaking his/her head xD

1 RispondiBring their health down to match bladedancers, stormcallers and sunsingers. That is, they die from: - 1 golden gun shot - 1 eirenne archetype sniper headshot - Shotgun+melee Just my opinion.
-
Length of over shield and sun spots. To short in my opinion
-
Two chaperone slugs to the head and a Melee and I still get killed. Pfft. Good thing BUNGIE is nerfing them to oblivion soon. They announced it.
-
3 RisposteWow, reduced tracking was the least voted when it's one of the fairest and most needed fixes. Wut.
-
6 RisposteSUN BREAKERS SUCK. Seriously, the super is their only redeeming quality. Everything else is decent at best. Striker and defender are much better for everything except mayhem.
-
Nothing
-
2 RisposteAlso shouldn't be able to one hit other supers.
-
lower armor to sniper headshot kill, because it as a subclass is weak, only the super is good
-
They are fine as is you only get killed by them what maybe once a match? If you nerf titans they'll want to nerf stormcallers then they'll want to nerf hunters and our game would go to shite
-
26 RisposteNothing. The slightly unbalanced super makes up for the average grenades, awful melee, and bad passive abilites.
-
1 RispondiIncrease amount of hammers thrown. Make melee and grenade kills refill super energy faster. Gain increased super duration and hp regen when grenade and melee energy are full. Sounds op? Well that's exactly what storm callers have.

1 RispondiModificato da Fenderslasher: 10/23/2015 9:45:43 PMPersonally I think it's fine the way it is. Why? That loud thunking bell that goes off when you activate. You really have no excuse for not getting away. It's all too easy. Any nerfs caused via whines about toughness will only destroy its efficacy in Pve. Even in control if you hear the bell and run away, what's the big deal? You lost a capture point by leaving it alone. Any other super generally nets the same difference expect you don't have a big "get out of the -blam!-ing way alarm". If you want to decrease the HoS effectiveness, you need to buff player intelligence. The issue is that this game has reinforced a lack of tactical play until this expansion. Bows can be used as counters, hammers can be used to raid immobile players or hardened positions, storm trance can be used to clear multiple zones on the go, bubble can cap points and hold choke points, etc. if you run into a bubble and get -blam!-ed up, it doesn't mean "nerf the bubble" cause your dumb, it means you need to rethink your style of play. People only hate the hammers cause it rules in aggression and too many players have adopted an aggressive style of play as opposed to a defensive one. Even the multi-kill award "hammer and tongs" plays on its hammer and anvil methodology, if you remain rigid your going to get flattened. If you play smart then the hammer of sol is nothing more than smart "scatter" effect on a 4 minute cooldown. The entire super is designed to decimate those hard to crack setups where teams have the advantage and lockdown two positions and hunker down for farming kills, it's meant to turn the tides even if only by forcing players out of positions. Edit: best argument iv heard all day is "set the GG to allow for precision hits". I like this. Iv never played as a GG but I know from lots and lots of friends that they gripe that GG is no good in Pve because targets have too much health (enter, Celestial Nighthawk). However, if GG users could get precision shots then they should be able to earn killing a sunbreaker in one shot instead of us all assuming that every super should die to one bullet (who the -blam!- decided that was the standard anyways, right?). This would also make GG way for useful for Pve.... Thoughts?
