I think they might need a slight nerf in stability or RoF or something

6 RisposteModificato da Shamboozled: 10/14/2015 4:30:53 PMNerf it all till we can't do anything but look at each other. I for one am tired of the Destiny community and it's nerf this nerf that bullshit
-
I think three changes need to be implemented to tone down the current meta game. 1) reduce Red Death's rate of fire to match its class archetype, or give it a sort of Fabian Strategy mod that give it its rate of fire only when enemies are in close proximity. 2) slightly increase the recoil vertically on all pulse rifles 3) reduce scout rifle impact to pre-2.0.0 standards to keep it from becoming the next meta. Boom, balanced primary weapons.

3 RisposteModificato da QUENTYN: 10/14/2015 3:53:37 PMD@mit enough is enough. First you complained about auto rifles and got them nerfed into garbage, then you complained about thorn and last word and got hand cannons nerfed. Now you want pulse rifles to be garbage. Please stop with all the should we nerf this should we nerf that. Just play the dang game!

Pulsehalla!!!!

The only issue I have with Pulse Rifles is that they are capable of outputting a higher dps than an Auto Rifle, Hand Cannon, or Scout Rifle. Auto Rifle = high 20s to mid 30s per bullet Scout Rifle = Approx 50 - 65 per bullet Hand Cannon = Approx 75 per bullet Pulse Rifle = Approx 90 - 100 per pulse for mid impact to high impact rifles In this scenario, the Auto Rifle should be better, but seeing as the Pulse Rifle is capable of firing more shots per second than a majority of the Auto Rifle archetypes (besides MAYBE Necrochasm and other low impact high rof Auto Rifles). While this is usually easily countered with other long range weapons (Snipers, Scout Rifles, Sleeper Simulant, QueenBreaker's Bow, etc.), it's stability and ability to produce a rather high DPS as a primary makes a more lethal weapon than a Scout Rifle or other precision weapons. A very good example of a Pulse Rifle at the top of the food chain is Red Death. Red Death is capable of healing you and increasing reload speeds. While this perk is very useful in PvE, this perk is capable of allowing the user to counter in the midst of an encounter if said user gets a kill (or steals/gets fed). I feel as though the exotic perk could use some tweaking for crucible such as returning a portion of the user's health in PvP without altering it's usefulness in PvE. While I do believe that increasing the delay between shots in a burst by about .04 seconds would make it a more balanced weapon in comparison to other precision weapons, Pulse Rifles rely heavily on precision hits which require a certain amount of skill and accuracy (or the right perks, or both).

Majority of the fourms are calling for the nerf and in the polls says do not nerf it. Someone please help.

No more nerfing! Playing banner and crucible the past couple days and it's been great. Nothing has consistently wiped me out, I don't see entire fireteams with 1 -blam!-ing load out. They're diverse and fun. Stop the fücking nerf bat
-
Just buff everything
-
Just no!! You Taken Tots need to leave this nerf crap alone!! Is that the 10 year plan?? Ask to nerf shit?? After pulse what's next, scouts? Then back to fusions? Grow a pair and just deal with it!

3 RisposteFor the destiny vets out there? Remember when pulse rifles did nothing? They were practically shunned. Very few used them and that was pretty much just the red death and strangers rifle. People will use whatever gun suits their own play style and the current meta. That's just how multiplayer works. If two guns did the exact same thing the exact same way why have both guns? For looks? We've moved from autos and fusions to hand canon and shottys. Nowadays to be fair there isn't much of a meta. Sure there are a good portion that use pulse now. But did you ever wonder if that's how they enjoyed playing? A mid range to close range gun with moderate time to kill that favors high accuracy. Maybe they just want to play the way they want to play. So to answer your question op. No I don't think they need nerfed. Pulses are at least functional now unlike what they used to be. Now that's some progress.

Correctly nerfed? Yes Bungie nerfed? Not no
but hell no
-
Most are fine... I'm still sick of Red Death and The Messenger (in normal crucible) though

2 RispostePulse rifles are the only meta weopons that actually need skill
if u count scouts then ya they need more skill
-
Such is the way of these salty whiners. Nerf Nerf Nerf Anytime a gun gets nerfed, they immediately seek out a gun that performs well and say it should be nerfed. Why don't you save us all a little time and tell us why the gun you like is not OP, and how it actually needs a buff.
-
For the love of God why do you guys always want to nerf shit. Let's just play rock paper scissors every game.
-
Yes pulse rifles have too much damage and lots of range
-
U just suck
-
Shut up
-
7 Rispostei think the high impact, low rof ones are probably going to be ok. there has to be something to remotely try to keep scout rifles and auto rifles in check. the low impact, high rof ones need to get hit pretty hard. the hacksaw, bad juju type ones need to be addressed. the ttk tables out right now are just flat out incorrect. the bad juju and guns like it are killing faster than anything else, atm. and they are flat out spammers. people just spam the shit out of them. there's no skill in using them
-
1 RispondiFor -blam!-'s sake, quit -blam!-ing around with our weapons! No more nerfs or buffs. Just let us play the -blam!-ing game! That is all.
-
No nerfs. Buff Auto Rifles to do 15% more damage and keep the range how it is now. Slightly increase rate of fire on all scout rifles.
-
No -blam!- off I can finally start to compete considering I main a pulse in pvp anyway, always hated hc's and everyone and their mother were toting thorn, at least there's some variety now.
-
Always nerfing is not the answer. Pulse rifles are where they should be. I say buff around them.
