I REALLY don't want to get off on the wrong foot here, but -blam!- you! You've spent so much time in the past year nerfing the players and the game that you've forgotten what this is all about. For us its about pouring hours into something you love. For you it should be about keeping a dedicated fan base and EXPANDING it. With the last few updates you have...
Given us three of coins.
Nerfed it to hell (1:7 pre patch 1:11 after)
Introduced new ways to spend materials
Nerfed them to hell
Given us more strange coins
Taken them away
Given us more motes
Taken them away
Black spindle- hardest weapon to get ATM
NERFED
There are a ton of people defending the spindle nerf, saying it was a patch. But you tell me what it is, when they take something that has already dropped, is already in your inventory, and lower its attack damage. It's a nerf. If looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck.
I'll give you a business 101 class right now. If you want people to spend money on your product, it has to be appealing. You're NEVER going to get a new player base when you've made the grind such a daunting task. Your game has to have the right balance of reward. Right now...
nightfall... Useless
Banner gear... Useless
Trials gear... Useless
Even the new emotes are -blam!-ing useless. I can't customize my dpad to use more than one at a time... WHERE IS THE INCENTIVE?!
Your team is quickly throwing your game down the drain, and I don't know how long I'm gonna stick around and watch it.
So here's my advice to you.
Your newest DLC took away more content than it added. For a game that was supposedly built around repeatability, you've done absolutely NOTHING to make it worth spending our time on the old content. And i know a lot of people will say that that the industry standard for an mmo is when new content comes in, the old goes out. But lets be honest, destiny is an online FPS. NOT an mmo. The reason mmo's can do what they do? Their EXPANSIONS (NOT dlc's) are entire new games.
Bungie i implore you to Make VOG and CE viable again. Reinstate the NF buff and for gods sake, fix the damn rewards. Make banner and trials gear drop at 290 so its a viable raid level option for the pvp crowd.
If our "community managers" spent more time actually interacting with the community, they would get a better feel for what this game is lacking, where it should be fixed, and our input on the patches they intend to implement BEFORE they nerf the entire game into non existence.
I know you're not going to listen to this, you don't hear anything unless it's a cry for nerf. I guess I'm just beating a dead horse here
Edit:I removed the cursing so they have no excuse to remove this thread like they did my other one
I would strongly advise all guardians saying this game is not headed toward pay to win to really rummage around in here...
http://db.destinytracker.com/items/consumables/consumable
I hope I'm not speaking out of turn when I say the community as a whole would LOVE to have some sort of open dialogue about the direction and decisions made recently. You won't be met with attacks. Just an open honest q&a. I'm not an angry person, just concerned for this game. I'm very passionate about it and would like to see it live up to its full potential for the next 8 years.
If you agree with what I've posted please leave a bump so this can hopefully get bungies attention. If you have more to add or an opposing opinion please leave it as a comment. I'm more than happy to have a calm reasonable discussion about anything related to this topic. Don't get frustrated if I don't respond right away. Im off to work for a ten hour shift and can only reply on breaks, but I will try to respond to everyone.

1 RispondiModificato da Kvistfish: 10/15/2015 4:24:46 PMBump to that. Also just want to say how I feel the bitching about this game is far more enjoyable than the game itself
-
Agree 100% to everything said here
-
NERF nerfs
-
Bungie has obviously made a lot of mistakes, but hard focusing on ways to increase the time necessary to clear any given activity instead of focusing on fresh ways to make the game more fun is their biggest mistake imo.

1 RispondiMy biggest problem ( and has been since day 1) is the lack of content. Be it lacking in the amount of guns / armor exotic or otherwise, mission variety... Whatever. They had a chance when ttk was released to have a plethora of guns and exotics, multiple raids, good number of strikes to not be too repetitive, and even had prison of elders if you weren't feeling strikes or raids. Instead they made everything obsolete and made everything you had grinded for completely worthless. You made an expansion, not a new game. So why would you make all your current strikes and raids totally worthless to play and take away all these guns lol? Stuff that we paid for and worked hard to get...Not only that but we paid double for this expansion and you couldn't even add a new hard mode option to all your old stuff to keep it viable? If you were going to do this you should have just made a new game so i dont have to look at all the old shit that no one will play. I take that back, maybe you'll play it if you're making an alt character. But hey you're going to sell a consumable so that literally no one will play the actual destiny game again lol. Only ttk content. Sorry for the long post guys. I had to rant a little bit. Love this game but so much bothers me about it.
-
technically everyone knew black spindle was gonna get nerfed so why complain
-
I keep playing the same 4 heroic strikes over and over. Why cant they have Phogoth and Sepiks still? Throw some taken in them for variety and add more variety to heroics in the process.

Couldn't possibly have said it better myself; nor agree with you more. I was just having a conversation with my friends this morning about how it's getting pointless to play, and the content of the game is now 1/5th of what it could be since all the year 1 stuff has been cast away. HoW came out mere months ago and it's completely useless! Vault, CE, PoE are all completely pointless to run anymore. Nightfalls aren't worth it anymore except for the one quest completion. These were the events in the game that kept us engaged and, hell, we'd even plan our lives around them. Reset day was a huge event and now I don't even know if there really is a reset day anymore. I'm getting very frustrated with complete lack of communication regarding the direction of the game. There's been nothing announced for what's on the horizon. My frustration is leading me to indifference and once indifference sets in, I'm done. I don't want to be indifferent about this game. I want it to be the enjoyable experience it's been since launch. I realize things needto have a lifecycle, etc. but damn, couldn't you come up with a better solution? Maybe kill the launch day stuff first, then with year 2, update 1 kill the CE stuff, year 2 update 2 kill HoW, etc.? Year 2 was exciting at first, and had some really neat concepts, but the honeymoon period is over...your move Bungie.

I really hate the black spindle thing, they coudl've nerfed the blueprint (so that it's not abused) but leave the gun @ 310, specially since it's so hard to get...

Bump. Nice wording.

Modificato da MowMdown: 10/15/2015 6:23:01 PMI didn't buy into the whole micro transactions but I know I'll keep playing even if it takes 25% more time to get items Me and my friends just have fun messing around and goofing off destroying enemies all night long
-
2 RisposteGot to bump this. Everything is spot on in my opinion. Can't believe they actually think they made the game better by making all activities other than ttk totally pointless. The constant changes to currency, the constant nerfs. I've been saying it for a while now. Budgie have no idea what they are doing with this game.
-
Modificato da StumpyTheClown: 10/15/2015 6:05:23 PMThis is exactly what I'm talking about and what I try to tell my friends! Bungie you are killing what could without a doubt be one of the best games ever. But it isn't , and doesn't look like it will be. And at this rate most of us will probably switch to a new game within the next year.

3 RisposteModificato da titan 9: 10/15/2015 6:16:53 PMThings I hate about Destiny/TTK: Doesn't respect our time- Hadium farming should drop multiples (sometimes). Exotic Sword farming should have materials drop from the chests. God forbid you miss a day or a week with life stuff you feel like you can never catch up. Piling events on top of each other (IB, Trials,) If you can only play on the weekend you won't be able to grind both of those run 3 raids, nightfalls, weekly Heroics, Daily's, bounties, etc. EDit: OOH and bounties/Quests that make you "Wait until armsday/reset" Time gates need to GO AWAY like now. Slow response to certain problems while others are (relatively) quick - (Example) Glitch the raid? patched the next 2 weeks. Thorn OP?.... 6 months. reusing old content (areas) for "New" missions- How many times am I going to go backwards on a mission i've already run? There's a lot to love in D:TTK but I feel like once i stop playing for more than a week (once new games come out to play) I'll never want to come back to play catch up.

7 RisposteSo much salt over the Black Spindle "Nerf". 300+ gear is meant for the raid, not for a hidden mission, no matter how hard it is. The Black Spindle was brought in line with the rest of the weapons, that's all. Stop bringing it up, they aren't changing it back lol.
-
Modificato da Drip Bandito: 10/15/2015 4:42:55 PMAt least there's other games to look for. Time to jump ship

The game isn't going to pay-to-win. The developers won't allow that. INSTEAD, they'll look at their longtime players, and say "Well, we need new players. Preferably a bunch of new ones. So, we're gonna spit in your faces and all of your hard work, and give the newbies a buncha ways to surpass your 500+ hours or work, in only a day or so".
